I have officially done it all bar castor oil. I wont try that as the risks are just too high. Rasberry leaf tea is not the same as rasberry tea. The latter is just rasberry flavoured normal tea. I have been drinking the tea since 37 weeks and have had nothing. I'm due tuesday. Nipple stimulation is the only method that seems to do more than dissapoint me *L* although it has to be done properly because too much stimulation can stress out the baby....generally a rule of ten mins on one nipple, rest for ten then swap sides. I've officially given up......let the dr's induce me! *L* good luck everyone

i dont know if it brought on mine or if it was just my due date, but something worked, you'll notice more mucus coming, and if its streaked with blood that is a sign that labor is near..for me it was a day after i seen mine at 40 weeks. i have a healthy big 9 pound baby girl and i believe that you should try the raspberry tea, than the castor oil..that seems too risky...i drank 4 cups of it one day and felt the contractions come more often and stronger..good luck.

Red Raspberry Leaf Tea does not induce labor. It acts as a uterine tonic ( muscle toner). So when you do get those contractions they will have more effect on your cervix. It is supposedly shortens the active phase of labor.
But in my case I started taking Red Raspberry Leaf tea capsules at 36 weeks and ended up being in labor for 30+ hours. It didn't work for me.

I have a healthy baby girl 6lbs 12oz, she had abit of trouble with an ireagular heat beat when she was born but it is all well now and we are home at last. I recomend the rasberry capsules and s_x, Take two capsils and then have s_x, after having s_x lay on your back with a pillow under your bum as this will keep the sperm in for a bit longer to help soften the cevix. I did have to have a c section, but this was due to my birth ca___l being to narrow and haveing a perviouse c section before. so good luck to all

I was induced through the hospital. which proves even if you are chemically induced your body will NOT go into labor unless it's ready. I had 2 doses of the gel before my cervix was considered boderline dilated enough to rupture my membranes.

I am 39 weeks gone and have tried everything in the last week. Raspberry tea, nipple stimulation, pineapple, brown sugar s_x (oral and straightforward) and nothing at all has happened so i can tell you that if any of these things are supposed to work they certainly don't work for everyone :-( anyone got any more ideas? Not willing to try castor oil

Try accupuncture! I am 37 1/2 weeks, cervix softened but not dilated, and doing my 2nd accupuncture tomorrow. I know several women who swear by it!

Raspberry Leaf
This herb has been used for centuries. Traditionally considered to prevent miscarriages and to tone the muscles, raspberry is a safe, effective herb for pregnant women. A standard brew tea, taken frequently throughout the day, is pleasant and refreshing and works deeply within the muscles and uterus. The leaves contain an active principle called fragrine, which acts particularly on the female reproductive organs, the muscles of the pelvis and uterus.
