Induceing Labor Vaginally

my daughter is being induced tomorrow, they are'nt useing potosen they are incerting something into the cervix area. what is it? and is it harmful to mother or baby?

There are different things that they can use (v____ally) to induce labor...I'm not sure of all the names...in that same breath if you dont know which they are using noone can tell you what the pro's and con's are...I was induced...honestly I'm not even sure what they used...they put something all the way up by my cervix...it was like a piece of gum I think(was almost 5 yrs ago)...but I dont think that there are really any risks of harming the mother or baby for doing this....good luck...and congrats..

IT IS CEVIDILE IT HELPS THIN OUT THE CERVIX TO HELP W/CONTRACTIONS

when i got induced they used a long plastic thing it was completely safe and you cant feel it
