I just went to the doc yesterday and I'm currently 2 cm dilated. (37 + 2 days). when I woke up this morning, I was really queasy and I've been having menstrual like cramps off and on for a few days. Could this mean labor is approaching?

Could be.....or it could be Braxton Hicks contractions. I have been at 2cm for 2 weeks and having cramping off and on- I'm at 39 weeks now.

tracy, ive been feeling the same way. im 40 weeks today. this morning i felt crampy and achy.... and very nautious. also backache. i went to the doc, this morning and am not dialated. ive been having braxton hicks contractions for a month now... but this morning things felt very different! but it went away around noon. now it is around 9:30 and i'm starting to feel the same way. the nurses said it sounds like labor could be close. but there really is no real way to tell. good luck!!

I'm 39 weeks and having the same cramps. I'm wondering if labor is starting then it stops. I'm gestatinal diabetic and getting impatient cause my doctor said he may induce me but wants to see one more weeks I wonder what i can do to start labor?.
