Please Help This Is My 1st Baby

im 33wks and 2.5cm dilated, my cervix is very soft, thin and short (told by doctor). i have also lost some pink coloured sticky discharge. Does anyone know how long until labour starts? please help, this is my first baby.

It varies with everone just be patient and hang in there. Hey you might even go to be 2 weeks late. This may continue this way and you will have your baby on time. Or it may abruptly stop. Just don't do anything to make yourself progress to labor. The closer to 40 weeks the better. The baby needs that time to mature it's body.

Your still early. I know it's hard but you need to try to wait aleast another 5 weeks. Your baby could have breathing problems if it comes now. Try to stay off your feet as musch as possiable and take it easy. I know that that is easier said than done most of the time but now is the time to relax. You don't want to have to leave a sick baby in the hospital.

You should probably be on bed rest so that you don't risk putting yourself into premature labour. Your baby isn't full term until 37 wks, and there is a risk if you have it before then, although the chance of survival is high.
