Nuchal Fold Concern And Normal Delivery

My wife (11-12 wks pregnant/33 years old/healthy female/2 previous pregnancies with two perfect children/taking 50mg zoloft for depression) had Level 2 Ultrasound yesterday to show a thickening in the nuchal fold. The measurement was 7.9mm. Both doctors state there is a large concern for development and delivery of a healthy baby. There was further concern that the baby may miscarry before full term. I have read many of the post to the website but do not see anything on statistics for normal delivery if there is a concern for the development of the nuchal fold during the first trimester. Is there any doctor here that can provide, stats for normal delivery after nuchal fold concerns, percentage of full term deliveries, number of babies born with issues from the chromosomal problems after nuchal fold concerns, nuchal fold returning to normal standards later in the pregnancy, etc. We are looking for information to determine the risk of miscarriage, baby born without issues or symptoms, or baby born with issues. Thank you for any help.

I really think you should talk to a gentic couceler they would be able to explain things to you, I just had a level 2 sono done and before I had it we talked to a gentic couceler and she really was able to explain things to us you should also be dealing with perinatal services they are specialized in these things sorry I can not be of more help to you but good luck to you and your wife and little one...you may want to get an amnio done that will tell you for sure if there are any problems
