Progesterone Level Of 16

My wife and I are having twins. According to the doctor, her HcG level is 500 and her Prog. Level is 16. She is 9 weeks pregnant. The test was taken at 1:30pm right after she had lunch. (I heard that eating before the test can effect outcome.) I get conflicting answers as to levels and timeframes, on the internet, that could result in miscarriage. I would love a definitive answer. Do hormone levels even play a huge role?? Does having twins screw up the results?
