I am 5 weeks pregnant and have begun to bleed lightly. My physician says this can be normal but I am worried. Is this normal?

Many women having bleeding during pregnancy and go on to have a healthy happy baby. As long as you don't experience cramping and unbearable pain with it.

i am 12.5 weeks pregnant and have experienced spotting and had one day of bleeding, i was checked as well as the baby and all was well. Come to find out, i have somehow got a STD called Trichmonasis, which can cause spotting. I believe it was contacted from sharing a towel with my best friend, in any case, my point being, there are many possible causes for bleeding. The growth of the baby, or many other things. Yes, it can mean possible miscarriage, but it can also not mean that. Any time you bleed in pregnancy, no matter what from, they will tell you you have a "threatened miscarriage" But only 30% miscarry. Tell your OBGYN, but try to remain calm and not worry too much. Good luck!

I had my 3rd ultrasound in 1 week today and was 7 weeks 1 day, no heartbeat and no growth in the baby (fetal pole) in one week. I was also spotting/staining. My pregnancy symptoms also disappeared (no nausea or b___st tenderness). I am scheduled for a D & C next week. As hard as it is to lose the baby, not knowing for a week was far worse for me. I hope your baby is ok.
