I am registered nurse pract_tioner.In my experiance moms who have POSTERIOR PRESENTATION like your's have a long and painful labor.Thre is a high risk of babies bruising while travelling through the birth ca___l.It is advisable to schedule C-section early.

Linda, My first baby was born face up. I had her naturally, without drugs, although that wouldn't have been my choice if I had known what was going on! The problem is, you will have painful contractions that still won't cause you to dilate - the baby's head isn't hitting right. I later found out from a friend who was a labor and delivery nurse that some doctors will turn the baby. I also have a friend whose midwife had her lie on a slant board for 15 minutes every day for a week, until the baby turned. Whatever you decide to do will be right for you. I prefer natural birth, but only if there is no danger and no unnecessary suffering! My birth took a great toll on my body and later on my emotions. Take care of yourself and do what feels safest for you! Good luck! That baby will make ALL the difference in your world!
