I was just wanting a little bit of information from all of these girls that have had pregnecys with an iud in. I have a copper IUD in for about 2 years and I have been nausated throwing up at somepoint when I smell certain foods or when I eat certain foods for about three weeks. I took a pregnacey test first response the result was postive line was very faint but I took another one and it was negative. I just started my period yesterday and it is heavier than usual about 3 times more. I am having cramps and when i stand up i feel like everything is comming out of me. I was just wandering if anyone else ever felt this way.

Update-My OB ordered bloodwork to test my hormone levels. They hope to get results back today. What should I expect? Anyone know if levels vary if you have/had a m/c with the IUD. Can they even tell that with blood testing. Holly, your story reminds me of what you went through. I am convinced that this is going to get drawn out.

ok You hcg level have to at least double they did the same with me my number didnt.. But it took them 3 weeks to tell me I was miscarrying.. my number started out at 27.9 then went to 35 and then 57 they werent doubling but he said it might be a early pregnancy and could be a good pregnancy but it wasnt.. let me know what else goes on..I have msn and yahoo my msn is jean_02@hotmail.com and yahoo is dragonangel_02@yahoo.com

I have another question. Did any of you "feel" pg and take an hpt and get a neg only to later find out that you were really pg? I'm feeling everything I felt w/ my 1st 2 pgs and had a neg hpt. I've only had like one period with this thing so I can't go on that. My husband thinks I'm a hypochondriac. I'm beginning to feel like maybe I am too. Thanks.

I too have the Mirena and reading this really scares me. I was wondering what are some of the syptoms you had that made you really questions your pregnancy.

oh yeah I had a negative... I had sore b___bs the b___terflies in the stomach.. the whole 5 yards.. Put like you I was thinking uh uh

hi board buddies.. well i just finished reading the new posts... It is very interesting to me to read the post where the IUD is being glorified by somebody who just got it in Feb..Most of us here had our IUD for over two years before we had a problem.. so hon what makes you the expert? Im so glad your IUD is working properly.. as a matter of fact mined did too.. it worked soooo well..i recommended it to everybody.. I thought it was the BEST! no worries.. but over two years of useage my luck gave out. I like Many others in this site are pregnant, others may God bless them have already have misscariages, and others like me.. are waiting for terrified of our turn. Do all of us a favor, as you can see ALL of us are AGAINST the IUD. WE dont want to see it, smell it, hear it, consider, etc. as a matter of fact we want them off the market.. did you know that the IUD was not available in the United States about 5 years ago? maybe 6.. and so most of the experiences on this site.. are with IUDs that were insterted less then three years ago.. aint that odd? so I hope you are spare this experience.. I dont wish it on nobody.. Im soo sorry for the new posters who are like all of us having trouble with the IUDs.. My heart goes out to you all cause i know How you feel..LOST, scare, and confused.. I know..im there too.. I pray that you girls do well. keep us posted.

Stepani..i had no symptons at all.. as a matter of fact my IUD moved to my cervix, and i didnt feel it.. a lady made me laugh the other day she said she wasnt worry bout her IUD..LOL and that she would know if it moves if she is in pain.. to which i thought was HYSTERICAL! i said to her oh im sorry to tell you this but i didnt even know my IUD was in my cervix until i saw it in the sono.. so there are no symptoms most of the time.. if you feel pregnant in any way please get a pregnancy test, and if you are not pregnant God bless you ..i would consider removing it before you have to deal with it.. I also have the MIrena IUD.

i just thought that i would let some of you all know that i thought i was pregnant had all the signs of being pregnant took the test and it was negative I am a IUD user of 3 years went to the doctor and they said I have ovarian cyst which was causing all of my problems. He also said that haveing an IUd for so long can cause you tok have cysts such as the ones that i had.

Updates please.. all the ladies who are pregnant and with IUD still inside the their body either in place or who the heck knows where it is(LIKE ME) please update us on your pregnancies.. I am Now 10.5 weeks pregnant.. sono shows particals of my iud in my cervix, but not sure where excatly it may have gone. Baby looks fine, strong heart beat, and in place. I am wondering what ever happen to Lori? Lori are you out there update us hon.

Ethi I am glad to hear you are doing good. I know everyday you have to be on edge.. I hope everything goes ok sweetie..

Ethi-Do they know where the IUD is, or is it missing? When I was preg. the IUD moved all the way up to the upper-left side of the uterus, and it was imbedded (from what they could tell) there through out the pregnancy. I read somewhere that a lady's IUD punctured a hole in her uterus-that really freaked me out. But because mine was imbedded in one spot it really was unlikely to happen. Did your doc put you on light duty? Nothing heavy etc.? I really feel for you and all the others living through this. I will pray for you. Keep us posted on the pregnancy.

Well, it looks like I get to drag this out over the weekend. No results available on my bloodwork and my ultrasound isn't until Monday am. I have no idea how far along I could even be since I had my period (or what I thought was one) 2 weeks ago. I have had no other pregnancy symptoms either. If it were not for the heavy bleeding and clots, I never would have known anything was going on. Now I will have the next 60 hours wondering if I did in fact m/c and think about all the ways that I may have harmed my unborn child (poor diet, alcohol, no prenatal vitamins, etc) but I have to act as if I am pregnant. This sucks and I feel for those who got pregnant with the IUD.

I know the feeling.. I had to wait even though. I had my ultrasound the same day they couldnt see anything and sent me for blood work and back on monday mor blood work back on wednesday she tells me it could be a tubal pregnancy or a little piece of tissue setting off hormones.. 3 weeks finally they told me I was so stressed and p__sed off.

Just got a vm from the PB nurse, so I was unable to ask her any questions. She said my hcg level was 4000.
