My daughter-in-law was put in the hospital today because her amnotic fluid was low, or lower than it was last week when they checked it. She is in her 34th week. She has a history with her first pregnancy of pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome. No real problems this time but the doctor has been very careful. She has been having twice weekly stress tests and ultra sounds. Now the amnotic fluid level is low or lower. What does that mean?
