That's great, Janette. We saw the heartbeat last week, also we were not expecting to see it. It was really awesome. I am very happy for you. Things seem to be going great. I go in tomorrow for my second ultrasound. If the sac has caught up or grown to normal size, the doctor said we can celebrate. Otherwise, it will be more waiting. I feel really good. I'm feeling very positive. Still feel very pregnant. Nails and hair growing like crazy, sore b___bs, moody but no morning sickness (yet). So tomorrow's our big day. I'll let you know how it goes. I'll be 8 weeks on Monday. Looking forward to some good news. Let's stay in touch.

Hi ladies, I am new so please bare with me. All of you have been an inspiration and for the ones that had a difficult time, I truly am sorry. Tomorrow will be my 4 s/g. I was told the embryo should be 9 wks, and was about 6-7 wks. hcg was 11,852 only taken once. Cervic is tilted. I only had s_x on 2-9-06, (w/ x) how could I be so far along? also only have 1 fallipion tube. I read it can take between 1 & 2 wks for egg & sperm to connect? any one have any helpful info? They basically doomed me, but I wont give up after all the amazing stories I've read about misdiagnosed miscarraige. Any info will be appreciated, even if it is bad. Im trying not to get my hopes to high, but I tried for 5 yrs and it finally happened. Im 39, this is it for me, luckly already blessed w/ 2 boys. Was positive this is a girl, such a diff.pregnancy. Thanks, Christine

I have the same problem. I have 4 weeks and the HCG level is low. Doctors told to abort because they think that it can be eutopic pregnancy but I really trust in God and I will try to look for a second opinion.

Hi everyone, all you have given me hope. I have been getting my period on time every month, except this mo. it lasted much longer than usual almost 12 days longer. It stopped for one day and I s_x w/bf and then it started back up the next day. At first I thought I was going through menopause, I'm 38, but then a friend suggested a hpt. lo and behold both were pos. but I cont. to spot. After 6hr stay in the er, i got conflicting stories from 2 drs & a nurse. The dr that did not examine me but only viewed my sonogram said there was no baby, the nurse said it didnt look good and the dr that DID examine me said I am pregnant and need to have my hcg levels checked in 2-3 days. My levels @ the time were 4179. I was diagnosed w/ a threatened abortion and a questionable embryonic sac. After going thru the fiasco of getting an appt. they drew blood 3 days later, my hcg levels only went up @ 1000, but the spotting stopped during my er visit. I am a nervous wreck. I have a 2 1/2yr, who is blessing, I had him early (@ 25 wks) so I'm scared about this. After reading everyone's posts, I can see how the drs are pushing for D&C. Since I cannot be sure of WHEN I got preg., I'm a t a loss...any suggestions?

This is more of a question more then an answer.. I hope no one minds. about 4 weeks ago I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. 4 days after that i started spotting that picked up in intensity with in 2 days, but still not a normal period for me. ANd I only bled for 4 days total and now its gone. I called my doctor and he said to go to the E.R. and they would do an ultra sound that day. When they looked.. they didnt see a sac or anything even though both the urine and blood work says I am pregnant. They say my levels are at 900 and to do another test every 3 days for a week to see if the levels increase or go down. I have hyperthyroidism and it is common to lose the baby although i dont "THINK" I have in the past. My problem is this, Im in the middle of a move and cant get to the dr's right away or I lose mine and my 2 childrens belongings thanks to only 1 week to move.. so i havent done the test yet. And to be honest im scared to hear that I have lost the baby.. its now been almost a month and I have taken another home pregnancy test and it still reads positive. If I did lose the baby.. wouldnt the test now read negetive? thanks for taking the time to read this, but like i said im moving in 2 days so i wont have the internet for a bit, but will be sure to check back with this when im back online..

I am currently experiencing low-rising HCG levels. No bleeding, cramping, etc., thank goodness, just low levels. I'm glad I found this board. I've had two miscarriages before. I am praying really hard that this baby makes it. Also == FYI == some of you have asked for statistics on abnormal HCG levels that make it to healthy childbirth. I found a medical study that followed 158 pregnancies. Of those, 22 (13.9%) had low-rising HCG levels. Of those 22 with low-rising levels, 16 (72.7%) showed viability on an ultrasound at 8 weeks, but did not make it through the end of the first trimester. There was no comment on the remaining 6 pregnancies with low-rising HCG, but given the fact that they were studying what happens after a positive ultrasound occurs, I have to a__sume they delivered normally. SO... if that is the case, then about 27.3% of pregnancies with low-rising HCG that have a viable ultrasound at 8 weeks produce full-term babies. Read the study's findings yourself at (http://tinyurl.com/o4r7n). Be warned, however: the conclusion these researchers drew from these numbers was that people with low HCG levels "should not be given an optimistic prognosis."

Okay first let me start out by apologizing if this is repeated more than once. i had a hard time logging in! I just have to get this through though. Congrats to you Greg and Shannon! I'm so happy for you all! I also am so very sorry that happened to you. As a early pregnant mom myself I so excited for you, but horrified what you were put through. I also ovulated late. Normal ovulatoin for me is anywhere from day 16-20. My point: Every web site you go on asks for your last peiod. Then from that they determine your due date, and what week of pregnancy you're in. If I had listened to that I would have been due in late April, and in week 6. I'm actually due in early May, and in week 5. I scheduled an appt. due to my last period. I explained to my doctor that I thought I ovulated late, and he agreed with me. So, I just wanted anyone and everyone out there to know that if they say you should be feeling this or that in week so and so, please remember first everyone is different, and secondly, you may not be as far along as you think. Greg, Shannon, and baby, Bless you, and my prayers are all with you, and all mom's to be. Please keep us in your prayers also as I'm just 5 1/2 weeks myself!

Hello everyone I am supposed to be six weeks and I had heavy bleeding with large blood clots for about three days. I had an u/s and found nothing in my uterus but hcg level was in the 800's. I thought I had a mc. Dr said to come back for 2nd reading which came back at 1000, three days later. dr is concerned is an ectopic preg. I go back Monday for third reading. I dont know what to think at this point but after spending over an hour reading these post it seems like drs can be very wrong. I hope for only the best.

MICHELLEH - September 19

Hi There this isnt really an answer but im new to this so please bear with me!I went for an u/s two weks ago as in a previous preganancy i have bleed for a short time so this time they wanted to keep an eye on me!Things were fine the but had to repeat my visit last week which didnt prove a s successfukk as i had hoped i went alone without my husband and wasn't really prepared for the news i was to be told although i should have been 10 weeks preganat the sac etc was to size but there were no signs of any heartbeat. The doctor told me that i had a 50/50 chance of delayed miscarriage of which i had never heard of before!I came home and cried for two days but as nothing happened started to feel a bit more hope!Yesterday i went to see my own doctor who took blood tests and my hcg levels came back quite high at 18000 however the test has today been repeated and my hcg levels have dropped to 14000 they have risen from early on (at 5 weeks i was 4000) but obviously things are on a downhill slope. I just wanted to say thanks to this forum i have been reading the postings on it all weekend and it had given me a bit of hope!Unffortunatly now though i am aware that for me things aren't rite this time. The waiting game is awful and the not knowing what is happening to your mind/body if i could be of help to anyone who is going through similar please contact me xxx

I am so glad I found this forum. On 9/06 I had two positive pregnancy tests. Blood work revealed on 9/19 that my HCG level was 5. This is INCREDIBLY low for as far along I was at the time. So I retested on 9/21 and my HCG divide in half and is at 2.6. But I have had no bleeding or cramping of any kind. I feel like a miscarriage is inevitable but I want this baby so very much. Does anybody know any information that could help me to be at least slightly optimistic? Also, on 9/20 I took the same brand HPT and it came out negative. But its so hard to believe I miscarried because I've been so healthy. I hope everything will be okay. Good luck to all and thank you for the support. :)

Hi all, I have been reading as a guest for two weeks now trying to get some perspective on what is happening with me. So many amazing and sad things have happened to you all. I have one child and I am pretty sure I am pregnant again although my urine tests keep coming back neg. It is driving me crazy not knowing either way I am off to the doctor today to request a blood test. Thanks for being on this site, you have unknowingly been great support.

Hey Guys, it's been awhile since I wrote in this forum which was back in March this is what I wrote ("My wife and I are 7 weeks along. Unfortunetly we have had 2 miscarriages in 8 months. We had and U/S done at 5.5 weeks and they couldnt see the heartbeat. We are praying our U/S this friday shows our babies heartbeat. My wife and I have been through alot and truly want this to be the one. Her HCG levels as of last week where over 4,000 although her Progestorone levels where low, doc gave her progestorone pills. (which by the way arent cheap) I would truely appricate any words of encouragement that I could give my wife in case we still dont see anything this friday. I love my wife sooo much and do not like to see her hurting. Please help?") I would like to thank everyone for their words of encourgement, we are now 35 weeks and counting down. We are expecting a healthy GIRL (samantha) and could not be happier. For all the women who are going through what we went through please dont GIVE UP... I wish everyone the best!!!

hi i had been bleeding for about 19 days so i went to the doctors and the doctor asked me to do a pee test and found out i was pregnant they doctor was really cocenred and had me do a hcg test it came back at 74 which she thought was quite low so she had me do an ultrasound where the couldnt see anything but the doctor said i could be very very early considering my hgc numbers or it could be a eptopic pregnancy. i had another hcg test 2 days later and it came back as 119 which means it hadnt doubled as they hoped so they had me do another four days and it only went up to 139 i'm still bleeding and really scared we have been trying for so long and my first pregnancy went extreamly well i have know pain just light bleeding that sometimes goes a little darker or brown please give me some sort of advice, i go for another hcg test on thursday i shall fill all in when we find out the numbers. thank you
