I just wanted to post an update. I had my first ultrasound a few days ago at 6 weeks and 5 days and saw and heard the perfect heartbeat going at 138 bpm and the crl was 6.7 mm. The doctor told me everything was perfect for where I am in this pregnancy. I am going in again in two weeks to make sure everything is progressing normally. I am so happy. I am going to pray that the rest of the pregnancy goes well.

Congratulations Dreamscape that is awesome news!! I am 12 weeks today and cannot wait for this week to be over and to be done with the first trimester. I am a nurse and used a doppler to hear the beans heartbeat on Friday and it was 167 so I am feeling rea__sured. Try not to worry about your progesterone levels so much they are fine. Like I said mine was 12 at 8 weeks and I am almost out of the first trimester. Good luck on your next ultrasound. Keep us posted!

Oh my gosh, I have been trying to post to this group for so long but was using a browser that wasn't supported so I couldn't post!!!! Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I have gotten good blood results and am going for my first midwife appointment next wednesday. I have been taking prometrium twice a day. I don't know if I am having a girl or what but the nausea is totally more than it was with my son. I am happy that I have it though cause that means I am preggers! I will post next week to let you all know my progress, keep up the good baby growing everyone! :)

I am 42 and pregnant with my second child, I am 7weeks 7days and on 7 week 5 days saw an ultrasond with a slow heartbeat! My progestrone at my inital labs 30 and this week they were 4.1 I began to spot and I am now taking progestrone and on bedrest,.I am feeling pretty hopeless and need people to give me hope I can rally from this!

faith...I wish you the best of luck. I don't want to sound negative but I don't think 4.1 is a great number though. Always prepare for the worst but hope for the best, that is all you can do, well that and praying never hurts.

I'm not pregnant but my progesterone level is 56.9 and last month it was 39.3. I am not on any progesterone med's and i still seem to have a higher level then a lot of you pregnant girls. That's not fair as me and hubby have been trying for over a year to get pregnant. I'm not pregnant and my levels are higher then all u pregnant girls. That's just weird and unfair. LOL

Hi All, I too am in the same boat. This is my 4th pregnancy- the first two I miscarried in the first trimester, and the last one the baby was diagnosed with triploidy at 15 weeks. I am currently 4 1/2 weeks pregnant. I have slight brown discharge on and off, but no real spotting. I do have cramping and backache though. I had an ultrasound last week but they couldn't see anything- just thickened uterine lining. My HCG levels are doubling though, and my dr just started me on progesterone supplements today. I also had progesterone supplements with my last pregnancy and am a big proponent. According to my dr, they do no harm, but CAN do a lot of good. I'm nervous, but also know that no amount of worrying can change the outcome. I'm trying to stay off my feet as much as I can, and hope that the cramping will subside soon. Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone, I just found out last week that I was pregnant. However, just this Monday, i started bleeding lightly and when I went in for an ultrasound, there was a visible yolk sac and my doc told me i was about no more than 5weeks. The following day I had brown discharge and when my doctor did another ultrasound, there was no more visible sac. My husband and I were so devastated, but nonetheless, our faith has allowed us to come to terms with a possible miscarriage (my doctor said not to give up hope, but that it looks like it was a mc). My progesterone levels from the first day of bleed was at 7, but I have noticed that the brown discharge has become less over the past day. Has anyone had a similar experience? I was given Prometrium, but have not used it until I started reading these posts. I just put one in right now hoping to help anything...anyone have any similar experience or words of hope? thank you!

I'm 7 weeks 5 days pregnant. At 5 weeks 3 days my hcg was 2018 and progesterone was 8.2 (my doctor like to see it at 10). Two days later hcg was at 3059 with no change in progesterone levels. I was put on 50mg progesterone suppositories. once nightly. My last blood test results showed hcg was in the 11,000's but my progesterone dropped to 5. My doctor was worried I was having an ectopic pregnancy and had me come in for an ultrasound. The fecus was right where it should be, the size it should be with a heart beat of 130 BPM. So, He increased my progesterone to 50mg sup 2 x daily. I can't say I'm very relieved to of seen the fetus or heard the heart beat. This is my 7th pregnancy and only 1 child resulted from them 21 years ago, the rest ended between the 10th - 12th week. We've been here a couple of times before (seeing a fetus and listening to a healthy heart beat.) but this is the first time I've been put on progesterone. From what I've been reading on this board and many others the dose I'm taking seems very low in comparison to most other women taking it? I go in for another ultrasound and more blood work on Monday, should I insist he up my dose? I haven't had any spotting or cramping I'm glad to say but never did with the others until it was all over either. I'm very worried, frustrated and feel like this time around I'm going to flat out loose my mind. I'm tired of going through this with only a stack of ultrasound pictures to show for it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

KimberlyP, HOw are you doing? Jen

KimberlyP - February 9

Hi groveje, I started bleeding at 8 weeks, it continued for a couple weeks until another doctor cought on to the fact my old doctor wasn't treating my high blood pressure correctly. After being put on the correct medications the bleeding stopped after only two days. (I no longer see the old doctor any more.) I'll be 25 weeks this friday.

Does anybody know how long it takes the progesterone suppositories to take effect. I found out I was pregnant Saturday my prog level was 12.5 and HCG 64. Then on Monday prog level 6 and HCG 34.5. My doctor put me on prog suppositories scince Monday and I just took another blood test. I am almost positive that I am going to have a M/C but the doctor said for me to take the suppositories anyway. Also I am only 5 weeks but it is the saddest thing that has ever happened to me and I have been through a lot in my lifetime. Some advice please! Thanks!

maria10704 - March 9

Well actually I was guessing 5 weeks since my last period was Jan 26th but even the doctor wasn't sure how pregnant I am.

KimberlyP - March 9

From what I was told the body absorbs the progesterone with in about an hour but, just to be sure you should use the suppositories at night when going to bed for the night to give your body plenty of time to get as much as it can. My progesterone levels dropped down to a level of 4 by 10 weeks but, I'm now 28 weeks 5 days along now. Don't loose faith, try to stay as positive as you can, things might still be just fine. Best wishes to you and your little one. Kimberly P.
