I have found out that my Hcg level is now over 8,000 and the progesterone is now up to 6. I am going to the hospitals prenatal unit on Thurs for another ultrasound. I am hoping for the best but really don't think there is a problem because my numbers keep going up. Thanks for the input.

My last entry was Oct 12 and I just wanted to update whoever wanted to know. I had more blood work done and in two weeks my progesterone went from 6 to 6.5 and my hcg went from 8,000 to only 24,000. I went back to the hospital for another u/s and there was no fetus and the sac went from 6 weeks the week before to 5 weeks on Fri. The Dr. said I should miscarry by next week and if not will be going for a shot to help it along. I want to Thank everyone who has written on this site because you all have helped me through my first miscarriage. I can't wait for this experience to be over so that I can start trying again. My husband and I are excited to start a family as soon a possiable. Good luck to everyone and ALL must KEEP THE FAITH. Good things do happen...

Wendy, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my first at 6.5 wks. I am not sure if my prog ever went up, but my hcg never moved above 6000 in that pregnancy. Here is what I want to share with you - I got pregnant within three months of the miss. I am now at 14 wks and everything seems to be going well. My prog was low to start this time, but the suppositories seems to raise that up and my hcg progressed normally. I have been off the prog for 2wks with no problems. We had good ultrasounds at 8wks and 11wks and I have had morning sickness with a pa__sion since about 8 weeks. Please do not give up hope. It will happen for you.

Thanks so much for writing to me Reb. I am not giving up hope it is just to early to call it quits. Good things happen to those who wait. My dr. told me to wait 2 normal cycles before trying again. That would be about 3 months from now. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks again for making know I'm not alone in this.

thanks so much Ray for writing. I just want everyone to know that I had a natural miscarriage on Halloween. I did not need a shot to make it happen, my body did take care of it naturally and that was a relief. I am happy to be able to move on and enjoy the holidays. God bless everyone and you will be in my prayers.

I am almost 6 weeks pregnant and have been taking pregesterone for a little over a week because my level dropped to 13.5. after 2 days it went back up to 18 and I'm not sure what my last blood test said, but I am happy to take anything that will help me carry this baby to full term. I have had 2 m/c in the last year and found out I have APS, a blood disorder. I have also been giving my self shots of Heprin every morning. Does anyone know anybody with this same disorder? I want to know the sucess rate and plan on asking my doctor next visit. I have had one u/s and it showed the sac but I was barely 5 weeks. I have another this Friday. I am very nervous. I want this baby so bad. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers!

I originally posted in July/August. I am now 19 weeks and have a healthy pregnancy. I encourage all of you not to give up hope. Take the progesterone as your Dr. prescribes. I was a__sured that too much is not a bad thing. I want to thank everyone for there information and stories. It has made going thru all this knowing that others are experiencing the same thing. Good luck to all of you and have very happy holidays - we can all think of our angels!

Wendy, I miscarried over Memorial Day and I got pregnant again the first week of August. - so just over two months between the miss and conception. My doctor wanted me to have one normal cycle (not counting the heavy bleeding of the miss). I had a period in late June, then an early period in July. Everything seems to be going well. I wish you the best in getting pregnant as soon as you can.

I think I'm about 3 weeks and my progesterone is 18 when it should be around 20. My doctor is going to supplement it to help me since I am having some mild spotting/bleeding.

I am also in the same boat. I was spotting yesterday and went into the dr. My hcg went from 156 to 6840 but my progesterone went from 21 to 12 in a a weeks time. I had an ultrasound yesterday at 5w4d and they could see the yolk sac but no baby yet. I go in next tue for another work up and ultrasound. Have any of you experienced a drop in progesterone or did you just start out with low levels. My dr did put me on prometrium and I just hope it saves the baby. This will be my second in a row m/c if it happens.

Trisha,
18 is a pretty good number for three weeks without supplementation. My doctor wanted me over 10 at that stage. Hang in there and use the supplements.

I am in the same position. We have a beautiful 3 year old daughter and have been trying to conceive our second child for 2 years now. We've had 3 miscarriages this year. I'm now 6.5 weeks pregnant. HCG levels have been doubling. Progesterone went from 34 to 24 to 19. I'm also taking the progesterone supplements, and now my Doctor has added progesterone injections. It's rea__suring to hear that others have had similar experiences. I'm terrified of suffering another miscarriage. Good luck and God bless you all.

Merrilee-Have you had an ultrasound yet? I have my next on Tuesday. My dr. wants to see me every week until this is resolved. I just pray that we see a baby with a heartbeat on Tuesday so I can relax a little.

How far along were you when progesterone was started? I miscarried this month and the Dr. wonders if my levels dropped. They want to start it if we get pregnant this month?
