Prometrium With First Pregnancy

I am 8 weeks pregnant with first child. Very nervous anyway. I was just wondering, most people that take prometrium for supplement, do they stop it at 12-14 weeks or continue with it through the entire pregnancy. My level was 12.7 at 6 weeks. Will the placenta be able to produce enough on its own? This is all new to me. Thanks for any help.
