it is a sign of preeclampsia (also called toxemia). this can be a serious condition! talk to your ob about his/her findings.

dont worry as long as ur blood pressure isnt high the doctor wont worry about the protien, she may ask u to come back for an early morning urine test just to make sure, its only if there is protien along with high blood pressure that u the doctor will check u for pre-eclampsia, i hope everything works out ok for u!
