Subchorionic Hematoma

Hey everyone. I didn't realize I never gave an update on what happened w/ my bleed until I got a response today. I unfortunately had a miscarriage at 7.5 weeks along. It was a very sad and difficult time and I was very afraid I wouldn't be able to have another normal pregnancy. I am happy to say that I was able to become pregnant again and I am 23 weeks along in my pregnancy and have had no complications at all! I still miss the baby that we lost but I will never forget it, and we'll see the baby someday in Heaven. Very blessed to have this new baby on the way! Good luck to all of you. :)

I was diagnosed with a SCH at about 7 weeks when I had ma__sive bleeding and several large blood clots. I panicked and thought I was miscarrying, but an ultrasound showed a strong heartbeat. They told me to take it easy and the bleeding stopped after a few days. Exactly one week after the first bleeding episode just when I was starting to feel better I had even worse bleeding than before with even more blood clots, yet still had a strong heartbeat. The evening after my second ultrasound I felt another blood clot ready to come out, but it turned out to be the baby. They believe the SCH was too large and caused the placenta to tear away and induce miscarriage. Such a heartbreak to have things end this way, just grateful for my sweet 15 month old who distracts me from feeling sad.

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage EmmasMom... But for those of you who might want to hear a positive story: here's a bit of good news: our daughter was born on 19 March 2011, a week early, but she's absolutely fine!! A healthy wee girl, now 5 months, rolling over, chatting away, having her first spoon fulls of baby rice... so after all that worrying we have a healthy baby. Don't worry too much - your pregnancies might well end up as good as this one. We never thought we'd see the day we had a healthy baby in our arms. Not all hematomas end up in a miscarriage.

I was told at 10 and a half weeks I have a Subchorionic Hemorrhage. I am 14 1/2 weeks. I have had no bleeding and have and ultra sound tomorrow. I have been having a pain that I did not get when I was pregnant with my first child. It feels like ripping not like cramping or a bad pull. I guess I want to know if one having no bleeding is bad and two is this feeling bad? What if it did not heal what does that mean can happen.

I am 10 1/2 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed 2 days ago with SCH the size is 6mm. I have had one day of bleeding and spotted a little last night and so far so good today. This is definitly the scariest thing I have ever been through. Although I did get to see the baby via u/s on Wed night, and got to hear the heart beat again yesterday. Going for a level 2 u/s on the 21st.

Hi, I am 16 weeks and was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage at 12 weeks after huge repeated gushed of bright red blood and a trip to ER thinking I had miscarried. Once we got there I found baby was great and I had a 10cm x 2cm hemorrhage sitting on my cervix. I lost so much blood I was admitted for 2 nights and given a transfusion. I night add I have von wildebrands disease which is a clotting disorder and I am a bleeder, but generally have no issues with this. After coming home I have continued to bleed every single day sometime bright and sometimes brown some times spotty sometimes full n bleeding and some clots. I have called my dr twice and had one addition ultrasound at 14 weeks showing sch had no change and my cervix measures 3.5cm. I have a fetal doppler and know baby is ok but am concerned with all the bleeding and the fact that it is right on cervix. Does anyone have this or know if the bleed on my cervix can irritate it causing the cervix to shorten. Any info is appreciated Thanks, Kristi

I'm really sorry for all of you who had to go through a miscarriage. I can't even imagine how hard it was for you. I'm infertile because I was born without a uterus. But my friend had a miscarriage a couple of weeks ago. It was her first pregnancy and she lost her baby on 7th month. My heart is tearing apart when I look at her. I want to help so much but only time can cure such pain. She was so happy when she got to know about her pregnancy... I try my best to find the right words. But in this situation they're probably no words exist which can help. I wish all of us to become mothers of healthy babies as soon as possible. No one in this world should lose their children.
