I had A tubal lagation about 10 months ago I haven't gotten my period yet is it possiable that I may be Pregant?

Yes. It just happened to me. I had surgery 4 days ago. I had my tubes tied 6 years ago and last month I had a irregular period. This month I skipped my period, but I was having very bad cramping in my pelvis on the right side. It kept getting worse. I called my doctor (on vacation) the nurse said to take a pregnancy test. I thought that idea was absurd. But I still took the test anyways. POSITIVE!!! I then called my GYNE. Dr. who asked me to come in for a blood test. POSITIVE. Then I was sent for ultrasound and an hour later Emergency surgery. I had an eptopic pregnancy and I was about 2.5 months along. It was in my right fallopian tube. I am still in shock about the whole thing. So the answer to your question is Yes. there is still a risk of pregnancy. I will also tell you that never once did I feel pregnant. (I have 3 kids). Tubal pregnancies feel different.

i had my tubes tied and a curette , six weeks after i had this done i found out i was 12 weeks pregnant, so i would have been 6 weeks pregnant at the time of the procedure , a pregnancy test was not performed prior to my tubes done . when i did a home pregnancy test at 12 weeks it showed positive , so pregnany tests do work once your tubes are tied .My baby is now 7 months old , thriving and very healthy , very much loved and obviously meant to be ,but it was a shock at the time.

I would like to see stories of women who have actually had a full term pregnancy after a TL.....anyone??? I have heard of people getting pregnant dispite the surgery but how possible is it to actually carry to term? Lisa

I believe you can but I also had a tubal ligation 7 years ago and I am late now for my period. I took a HPT and it showed up negative. How long should I wait till I go see a DR. ??

Hi! Apparently you can get pregnant after a Tubal Ligation! I have had 2 babies back to back. July 04 and then August 05...I had my Tubal ligation right after the birth of my baby in August (the day after delivery) and he is not even 6 months yet. I had some bleeding a week to 1 1/2 weeks before my period was due, so I forgot about it just thinking that was my period and it came early (although it was abnormal). I started cramping the week my regular AF was due (still having cramps) and all the other signs of pregnancy. I know I am pregnant. The tests have came back negative, but they did this with my DD born in July. 4 HPT and one blood test all said negative and the very next week I got a positive. So I am waiting to go to the doctor. I know my body after having 4 kids, so I know that I am and I know that if God wants it to be, then it WILL be! :) HTH! GL to you all! I hope you all get what you wish for!

What are the chances of becoming pregnant after a tubial ligation?
