Question About Date Of Conception

My daughter found out she is pregnant several weeks ago. She has already had 2 ultasounds. The first showed a yolk sac and measurement of just over 5 weeks which would have her conceiving late in the week. The second, detected a heartbeat and measured her to be 7 weeks,2 days which may move up the cnception date by a week or so. These were done a week apart. Her last period was very spotty and abnormal. The date of conception is going to determine who the father is. How accurate is the US? If it measures her at over 7 weeks, what is the chance she is just under 7 weeks or closer to 8 weeks? Is there an easy answer to this?

This is going to be very difficult as doctors are very off (2 - 4 weeks) with due dates... while 4 weeks off is extreme, it happens and I'm afraid she won't know positively until the baby gets here and a dna test is done... Two weeks apart just isn't enough time to really be sure.
