How Long Should I Have Irregular Periods After Miscarriage

I need some help, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks 1 day on August 15. It then took me 7 weeks to have a period on October 4. I thought that I was finally back on track but then I didn't have anything until November 30th and even then it was only spotting and very light for about 3 or 4 days. What is going on with my body?? My miscarriage was almost 4 months ago, shouldn't my body be back on track by now? I guess I'm just wondering if this is normal for your body to be screwed up for awhile or even several months after a miscarriage. Please share any advice or "been there" stories. It would really help ease my worries. Thankyou!

I was a lucky one and my schedule seemed to bounce back right away, except now I have worse pms symptoms! Fear now. You sound perfectly normal to me. It will take your body some time to heal, so expect it to be a little wacky for a bit. Some women don't even get their periods for two months! You are just fine. Best of luck with the healing of your body and mind. <3

Thankyou ChattyKathy for responding. It did help ease my worries. So you do think its ok that in a 4 month span I have only had 1 real period and about 3 days of spotting (both at seperate times)? I guess I was just worried that maybe I'm not ovulating anymore or something. And the doctor told me that 6 weeks was a pretty early miscarriage so I should return to normal pretty soon. And I know how the women that it takes 2 months for them to get a period feel. I was only a week short of a 2 month period wait after the miscarriage.

It was lighter than expected but lasted 3-4 days which is normal. I usually have a 26 day cycle and now I seem to be late for my second period? so far i am 3 day late and still waiting? I went to the gyno 2 days before i expected my period for there regular pap and he said all was well. Has this happened to any one? Can your second period be late? Help any info will help

The main cause of lack or light af is that the uterine lining does not build up properly. I had a loss in feb this year and my af was all over the place. I waited it out till augest and the doctor put me on the BCP for 3 months for regulate me again. Did you m/c naturally or have a d&C? is your period getting lighter and lighter every month?

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks at the end of November. I bled for about 5 days and then it stopped. I started bleeding again after a week and it continued for 5 weeks. I pa__sed the sac at the beginning of the 5th week and I finally stopped bleeding right after New Years. I thought I would be right back to my normal 26-day cycle, but I didn't have a period until the second week of February. I haven't been feeling well for the past few days so I took a pregnancy test, but it was negative. That was a few days ago and I still don't have my period. I'm driving myself crazy, I just want to go back to normal so I have a chance of trying again. How long will this irregularity going to last?

Hello all,

I'm sorry for all your losses. I had a missed misscariage May 2017 at 16wks. had to get a D&C after birth. I had my period 27 days later (my cycle use to be on time 25days) I got excited that we could start trying but it is all over the place. I've had a 14 day,10 day, 43 day (with a lot of spotting between) 19 day, September was finally getting better more days free from spotting and periods with a 21 day cycle, October 35 day November 32 day FINALLY something to work with...

I did have random week blood for a week mid cycle in Feb. but I seem to between 32 to 41 days. I really hope this eases up sometime soon...... 11 months I think is enough!
feels good to know that even though mine has been outta wak for a long time at least it seems semi okay. or is this something I should go to the Drs about (I did go December and they said give it time)

Fustrating.

Hi! I hope you are doing fine. I feel so sorry for what you have gone through. Miscarriage is the worst thing in women's lives. I know it is difficult to pass through this. Well, after a miscarriage your body needs to heal. After a miscarriage occurs, you should continue bleeding for a week or more. You need not be worry because period after seven weeks of miscarriage is normal. You should also consult with your doctor. Stay blessed.

Very sorry for your loss. So, yeah! Well, yes! some of these are symptoms related to MCs. So, yes! Stay strong! get some medication from your obs. He will guide you a better way. Stay calm and hope for the best!

Yes, you can conceive right after the miscarriage. But you may experience irregular periods for a brief period. Therefore, tracking your ovulation might be tricky. However, some don't experience any difficulty conceiving right after a miscarriage. So, it really depends on your body.
