Hi, I am suppossed to be 9 weeks pregnant and I had my first Ultrsound done yesterday and it showed the Sac was that of a baby that would be only 6 weeks old? I am so scared!!! The doctor said it was an unhealthy pregnancy and she was wanting to do a D&C and I said No! I was late On my period in November and I was wondering if this could make the Ultrasound wrong? The Doc has schedeuled another Ultrasound in 2 weeks to see if there has been any change! Has anyone ever gone through this? Please let me know, any help would be greatly appreciated, may God bless you all

Why did she say it was unhealthy? Was there a heartbeat? I do understand what you are going through, I went for my u/s and there was no heartbeat, and the doctor said it wasn't a good pregnancy,and I should schedule and D&C but I too said no. I miscarried 2 days later, wound up in the er and had a D&C but at least at that point there were no questions if the doctor was wrong or right, that my baby had indeed died. I still think I would have said no to the D&C in the first place, I know now that there is no question that it was an unhealthy pregnancy, and I won't be going over that in my head over and over "was the u/s and doctor right? what if he was wrong?" I'm going to try again someday, and I wish you all the best. If the doc is right and there is something wrong, I know you will be able to get through it as I did, and there will be emotions running hard, but don't dispair, you can always try again. I pray that you and your baby are ok, and doing well, and you have a full term wonderful pregnancy.

At 6 weeks you should be able to see and hear a heart beat. Even if you were wrong about the dates as long as you are 6 weeks and everything is o.k i would not care how old it was. Why does you doctor insist on having a dnc is everything o.k with the baby. get back to me and let me know!Good luck
