Hi - I am going through the similar case. I am too early for my cycle..My period date is 4th Dec. But because of some symptoms I tried HPT on Monday.. . Clear Blue the digital one..came positive.. Just to confirm I tried twice yesterday..they all came negative..I am really confused now ..and also don't want to see my doc and look stupid..

Were all the tests clear blue easy? Try different brands. Some hpt's are weaker than others. Also, do 1st morning urine or wait at least four hours between urinations to get a concentration. I used the 'answer' brand (very cheap) and got a positive before my doctor did. I wish you the best!

I just got my af I think. But I spotted for 4 days but I never got any on my pad just when I wiped. I did a preg test and it xcame back negitive and I did it a week after the spotting. Could that be my period? I never had a period like that mine are ussually heavy on my 3rd day and ends 2 days later. My b___bs have a burning touch to them on the top. 2 months ago when I ovulated I used to hurt really bad on the sides under my arms but I havent felt that way for 2 months. Can I still be pregnant and it not show up on a hpt? but will show up only on a blood test.

It could be implantation spotting. If so, I hpt would work about 2 days after that. Well, that's how it was for me. Implantation spotting 11/1 and 11/2 (with a neg blood test on 11/2) then a + hpt on the 4th. Guess it all depends on how long it takes for the placenta to begin emitting teh hcg. Maybe 4 days to be on the safe side. God bless.

see if I would go from when I was supposed to get af on the 16th then I would be 3 weeks late. Then when I didnt get it then I went by a 35 day cycle then I started to spot like I said in the post before and now a week after that I did a test and it is still negitive. The thing that really gets me I get heartburn with everything I eat and that was the first sign that I was pregnant with my second boy but I will have to wait and see how my next time I start to spot or get af.

Try a few different brands of hpts. Early Response has been rated as very accurate. It could be that you ovulated late in your cycle and/or implanted later than expected. Would your doc do a blood test for you? Best of luck!

i know it's hard but i would wait a week to take another test. that is what i did. i was already 1 week late for my period and i took a test and it was neg. my husband made me wait anotehr week to test and it was positive. i just got my bloodwork back from the dr yesterday it's it's positive. i think that i didn't ovulate until 30 or so days into my cycle. that is how it was with my daughter and my hcg levels aren't extremely high if they go by the day of my last period. i'd be 7 weeks but i think i am only 4 weeks. i have to go back friday for more bloodwork to make sure my levels go up. so if i were you, i kow it's hard but try to wait a week to test, sometimes the test won't show up positive in the very beginning of early pregnancy.

Hi, I have a question. I took a hpt (clear blue easy digital) and it said that I was pregnant. However, I went to a clinic where they give free pregnancy tests and theirs came out negative. I am very discouraged and am not sure what to do. Should I wait it out or go buy another hpt?

Jennifer, You can read what I posted if you scroll up. I went through a similar experience. I had hpt's say + and my gyn and walk-in clinic both said urine was neg. I kept doing the hpt's, all +. So I finally got a blood test. I am 7.5 weeks along now.Your doc should give you a blood test. In the meantime, I'd keep doing the hpt's until then. Best to you! let us know!

Jennifer - December 1

Thank you for the encouragement! I will definitely let you know.

i agree with denise, i sounds like those urine test in the dr's offices aren't always the best. there are other brands that are more sensitive. Denise, did you have bloodwork done? i am nervous my levels are low. do you know what yours were when you first found out?

Sujitha - December 1

Your doctor is right! You can go for a blood test which will make sure your pregnancy.

Denise - December 1

Hi Lori, I did have bloodwork done 3 times. The first time was negative (under 5) @ 9 dpo, the second time was a positive (over 20 is all they said) and then the third one showed 513 @ 17 dpo. You can do a google search for "chart hcg levels" and see what's the normal range. If you implnted late and/or ovulated later than you thought, they might be lower, but still ok. Keep us posted!

i'll keep you posted. i go tomorrow morning for another draw. i have a feeling i won't get the results until monday though. my last one was at 173. and it was 7 weeks from the first day of my last period. but i have a feeling i might have ovulated on the 15 of this month. hopefully everything is ok. i will find out eventually. i just hate the waiting.

Who Knows - December 2

Jennifer, I have a similar experience to yours. I had a blood test and it was negative, so I'm guessing I'm not pregnant. I had my period Nov 15 and I think I'm ovulating now. You can't ovulate and be pregnant, correct? Even if your hormones are so low that they don't show up on the tests? Read my post under the Clear Blue Easy section from yesterday. It explains the whole story.

dear who knows, i don't think you can ovulate and be pregnant but i am not a dr so i could be wrong. but have you ever tried a ovulation kit? is your cm very stretchy? that is how you can tell you are ovulating. i thought i ovulated b/c i had cm but it wasn't stretchy but i think i actually ovulated 2 weeks after that. we'll see. i went for follow up blood work today to check my hcg leves. i won't know until monday if they are doubling! it will be a long weekend.
