If your progesterone was low, your doc should test you again. Low progesterone can cause miscarriage. It's the hormone that tells your uterus not to expel the lining. A friend of mine had to be put on it after a miscarriage and delievered a healthy boy. Best to you!

Well I had my Altra sound today and it showed me as being NOT PREGO........OMG im so happy,BUT the doc took a blood test to make sure of it,He told me ----I may of miscarraged((((I THOUGHT THAT ALL ALONG ANYWAYS)))),so i need to go back again tomorrow and get another blood tested ,this will tell the tale,if my blood is down, then im not prego,if its up i am,he told me the ultra sound may not show anything cuz i could be only 2 or 3 week's prego...........I said noway......I know when i had s_x last and that was on Oct 28th.........Lord that would make me almost 2 months.....I kinda had a idea that i miscarried back a few weeks ago because of the clots and stuff that came out of me..............And to this day i am still spotting......This is weird,Really weird...For the past 2 week's i thought and was TOLD i was prego,now today my ultra sound showed nothing but the home prego test showed positive and the pee test from the doctor's showed positive....................Good god im lost!!!!!!Any advice?

Shelly, In a way this is good, because you don't have to grapple with decisions. Hmm.. advice? Gosh, my life is such that I am the one in need of the advice. LOL Let's see.. Get some good hpt's and keep them stocked up. Take one if you are even a day late. At the first sign of a +, go to the doc. It sounds like this miscarriage just sent your body in a tailspin. Take care of yourself, rest, etc. Your body has been through alot.

LOL-------I have the Doctor's alll frigged up...I went for my second blood test today........They are going to compare it to yesterdays,if my blood level went down,then im not prego,if it went up then i am,Good lord they don't even know if i had a miscarrage...1HPT and it was positive,pee test,that was positive,and the blood work i had yesterday was positive but the ultra sound was negative,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,good lord..I am lost and I also have the doctor's lost.........

Ok here goes-----I just got my blood test results back---Had my blood done on monday--My hcg level was 590---Had it done again yesterday(tuesday) and it dropped a big amount to 190----------The doc told me i had a spontaneous miscarriage........I dont understand why im still spotting tho.The miscarriage happened from Nov 30th to Dec 8th....im still lost here...That was awhile ago.....I mean they didn't know if i was prego or not but i guess with a low HCG level like that there is no way i could still be prego because right now i would be about 6 weeks and my HCG level should be way up there in the 10's of thousands.......Thanks for all your advice Denise,You were a great help,all of you were,If it wasn't for this message board to help me thru the past 2 weeks i don't know what i would of done......P.s--I still feel prego,Even my brests are tender for the past 2 days,Maybe i am just reading too much into this?

Shelly, Your body will likely not feel un-pregnant until the hcg is gone. Even a little hcg (like 20) can make you have symptoms. Have a super holiday. God bless!

Well I know what you mean. I took 3 hpt"s that came back positive. I feel pregnant too, but there is no way I could be because I haven't had s_x. I am going to the doctor on Tuesday. I hope I'm not pregnant. Me and my boyfriend are not ready, but he thinks we are.

There are several reasons that your body can emit the hcg hormone. Do a google search. Best of luck to you!

I think you should just stay positive because with pregnancy anything is possible. I have experienced the same thing. I have taken four pregnancy tests that all say positive but I have not had s_x. I think I may have had a misscarriage in October or November and maybe I still have some HCG in my system. What do you think?

Well here is a little example for you----It will also answer your question your asking ----I had a miscarriage between Nov 30th and Dec8th((thats how long it took the process))----Anyways it's January 1st today and i still feel prego--I have a HPT to take but im going to wait till Friday to take it...I know it will still show positive,cuz of the way im feeling---My doc told me it can take up too two months for the HCG level to drop after a miscarriage------And for those of you that has been following thru with my write up's-------Well i stopped with the reddish like spotting the other day,and today its back to a light brown,lord i hope this is the end of it finally--I really don't want to go for a D-n-C---Anyways you all hand in there:-)

I was curious so i took the HPT just 5 min's ago and it was Neg.So I had my miscarriage start about the 26th of Nov and lasted till The 8th of Dec and the spotting lasted right up until a couple of days ago,and this is the first HPT that showed Neg,,,,So it took me a little over a month to get all of the HCG out of my blood------------Hope that helps

Hello, it's been interesting reading all of these posts. I'm in the middle of a similar situation. My period is about 4 weeks late. I stopped taking birth control about 2 months ago. The past two weeks I have had many pregnancy symptoms and four positive hpts. So, I went to the doctor on 12/31 and had a urine test, which was positive. Then the blood test. I got the results today and they were negative, so I went for a retest today. Now, I'm just waiting and going crazy. I've never been pregnant before, but I've got so many symptoms, I thought this is how it's supposed to feel. My concern is- if the 2nd blood test is negative, and I have actually miscarried, if I don't start bleeding soon, do I have to have a d-n-c? I'm really sad and scared. My husband was so happy when I told him we were pregnant, it's breaking my heart just to look at him now. I feel like my body has betrayed me. Anyone out there who can give me any advice?

The same thing happened to me. My first blood test was neg and I'm now 3 mos along. Some docs blood tests have to be over 20 hcg hormone in blood to be +... and the hpt's are as low as 10! Hang in there. Waiting is so hard!
