im still on the shot can i get pregnant?

Britnei - December 8

YES... IT IS VERY POSSIBLE TO GET PREGNANT WITHOUT HAVING A PERIOD...Or even just with spotting... I am now 8 weeks pregnant and used depo 2 this year.. and never had a period before finding out that i was pregnant... good luck..

I was on the shot and after I stopped taking it, it took about 7-8 months before I got a period and about a year before I could get preganant. You should talk to your doctor so that he/she could give you something to make your period come back and then once it becomes regular then try to get pregnant.

I was on depo for for exactly 1 1/2 years. My last shot was April 21, 2004. It is now December 28, 2004. I got what I thought was a period in October and November, both 28 days apart. They were extremmely heavy. Now I am experiencing a period, but I dont know itf it is one. The other 2 were 8 days long each. I dont think I am ovulating, nor do I think I will ovulate this time. But it all depends on the person, because I had a friend who 2 months after her last shot got pregnant. She now has a healthy baby girl. I pray that we all get pregnant, and stay healthy. It feels good knowing I am not the only one freaking out.

I was on depo for only 9 months and it took me 7 months to start spotting. Finally my doctor put me on Provera to induce my period. We have been trying to concieve for a year now with no results.

I am having alot of the problems that i read about this depo shot. I was on the depo shot for about 9months, I was supossed to go get my shot Dec 29, 04, but I did not go back. A week later I started spotting. around the 16th of January my ex and I were intimate..we practiced the withdrawal method. Since then I have not gotten a cycle. I took 3 hpt but they were negative. My b___st have been really tender, swollen and painful. My eating habits have increased. Are these normal after effects of coming off the depo? Could I be pregnant?

niki - February 24

is ther any medication you can take to stop the con stant bleeding caused by the depo?

I was on the shot for 7 years and it took me almost 1 year to start my period again. I still have not gotten pregnant and it has been 2 years since i have been off of the shot and I also have anywhere from 2 to 3 periods a month so I would think that the 2 negative pregnancy tests are accurate, but just in case try another tests in a few weeks.

Hi my name is natalie stone I had my first son when I was 19. I had taken the pill for 1 1/2 years whith all the stress of taking care of my son and husband I became neglectful of my my b/c some with a few accidental scares before we were ready, I decided to go on depo... I have only recieved 2 shots and now we want to have a baby my son is 2 years old and we are all ready!! My last shot was in November... I have read all of these horror stories of how it was so hard to consieve a baby after depo!! I am 21 now and our family is ready to grow and I am saddened to hear I may not be able to concieve untill my son is almost 4!!! I hope this is not the case and I hope I can give him a sibiling he needs and deserves!!! I was never informed that it would be that difficult to concieve after that my doctor said it would only take 2-3 months! How has your success gone!?!?!?!?!? Natalie Stone

Hi All, I was on the depo for 3 three years and came off the depo on 20 December 2004. My periods have not come back yet, however i am experiencing pregnancy like symptons, but i think that is one of the side effects of coming of the depo. I was told you couldnt get pregnant until your periods come back. Can someone let me know whether this is true or not? Emma
