AF is due anytime now (not really sure) but I dont feel any of my normal period symptoms. I have been nauseous, sensitive smell, frequent urination, bloated, bachache. I have taken 5 hpt but all neg. I just have this gut feeling that Im pregnant, but I dont want to think that and get my hopes up if im not :S Has anyone else had a gut feeling and were your preggers or not?

i have the gut filling but it comes and goes

Well its nice to see one person responds..

Mica - August 10

Sorry that you seem to have been hoping for more responces. This topic seems to me to be a gray area. Of course some have had that gut feeling and turned out to be right. And some have been wrong. I believe the waiting and the anxiety that go along with it can definatly make af late. On the other hand, many don't get a BFP until well after af is late. Maybe you're pregnant. I know how BAD the waiting is! All you can do is wait some more. Oh, and any woman trying to conceive should be taking pre-natal vitamins, because early on is when you (or I should say the baby) really need them. best to you!

'Lady', my gut feeling would be to trust my hpt, over my symptoms. It's just that in my case, a negative hpt when AF is due, means just that...AF...Baby dust to you...

I realized I was pregnant at only 1 week... I didn't tell my husband yet that I had suspected, took a home pregnancy test and it was positive! I waited another week until I got into the doctor to get a blood test... which came back positive! That night I told my husband we were two weeks pregnant. He was so thrilled! Two days later we went to court for a custody case, my ex has my daughter, I have our son, and when we went to court I had the intention of telling the ex I would drop the custody dispute because I was pregnant and couldn't go through the stress of another custody battle. The ex then told me he was transferring across the country, and taking my daughter with him. I thought I was pretty calm about it all. But the next morning I began bleeding, went to the hospital. Since I was 'just pregnant' they couldn't do ANYTHING but put me on bed rest and hope for the best. A few days later, when I went back to the OBGYN they took a blood test. The next day they confirmed the hcg levels had dropped, and I had a miscarraige. TRUST YOUR INSTINCT and stay stress free. The good news.... I think I'm one week pregnant again!!!

I also had a gut feeling when I was pregnant with my daughter 6 years ago. I have the same feeling now and I am a bit crampy 4 DPO and my b___bs feel slightly larger so don't really know what to think. But for sure trust your gut feeling and good luck

Mica - I am taking pre-natal vitamins incase and also because if im not we are going to TTC anyways. C - surely I could still be getting false neg? I dont feel any AF symptoms at all, I dont have ANY of my usual feelings. I dont think my AF is going to start. Plus all the other symptoms are there. Riana - I hope you are preggers!! I am trying to stay stress free, its pretty easy for me as I dont work, I have no real stress! Chele - Good luck to you!!

I was 2 months late and had a feeling that I was pregnant, but I didn't know what to think because every test I took was negative. I finally had a trans-v____al ultrasound done when I was about 15 weeks late, and found out that I was actually pregnant. To this day, I still do not know why I never got a positive home pregnancy test. I'm due Oct. 1st.

Mica - August 11

Mandy, it's great to hear from you; I remember your thread. You still haven't had an explantion for the false negatives? How weird. Is everything going well?

Kristin - August 11

Unfortuntely, yes I did...and I was. When I was 23 years old and not married. I knew exactly when it happened...and then for the two or three weeks until I would find out for sure I kept seeing babies..EVERYWHERE! on tv, in the store, in magazines..it was very weird. But hey, if you're pregnant..you're pregnant. I wouldn't trade my Sydney for any kid in the world, she's been such a blessing to me! God knew what he was doing that's for sure!! :)

Mandy - August 13

Mica, I still haven't gotten an answer about the false negatives. Today I am 33 weeks and I can't wait until I finally have her. Right now I have terrible edema in my feet, and terrible back pain, but that's to be expected, so other than that, everything is going well. Thanks for asking.

I disagree with "C." There are posts on this website about women who had neg. HPT & then ultrasound proved pregnancy @ 8 weeks....another had neg. hcg in blood & urine, then ultrasd. proved pregnancy @ 17 weeks - the girl said she went home & took an hpt after the ultrasd. & it still said negative. I would listen to your body. Pregnancy is a true miracle & cannot be defined by man's in the box theories & blanket statements of how it should be. Your body's telling you you're pregnant - why would you listen to your brain? Ever heard the expression "if my brain didn't need me for transportation it would kill me?" lol Don't drive yourself nuts. Treat your body right & quit any bad habits - looks like you're preggers......GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Timbits - August 18

To Precious...I see you remember reading about the girl who was 17 weeks pregnant but got negative urine and blood tests and had to have an ultrasound done to show she was pregnant. She tried another home pregnancy test after that and it was still negative. Do you remember what thread that was? I wanted to show that post to my husband so that he can see that it is possible to still be pregnant after having negative tests.

Ive had my share of ups and downs including a mc in july 2014 after either becoming pregnant on the birth control shot of being too early for a positive the day I went in for the depo shot, and a still birth this past july to my boy Evan from high blood pressure.

Itsa big deal id never thot so myself if i didnt live it.

Anyway, weve been trying. And Decmber ihad no period. Obviously i testedon maybe dec 26 2015. Slow positive. Then two mortestsslow, indicating i was way early i figured and also faint. Then jan3 orso i testedandit took forever but was a liiiight faint pink line. Then jan 5-9 i was bleeding in decent period style pain the first two days. Not normal. Couldve been chemical pregnancy that didnt last, but nowhere nearthe feeling of the full mc i had in summer 2014.

So, i figure either chem miscarry or ... Ive beenreading a lot of things because initially, my instinct definitely didnt say i was mcing or killing this one.

a

Anyway, oddly began bleeding light today about 5:46pm, more like implantation.... Doubt that itd be impl afyert 1 day later of sex, etc.... Still feel n think im pregnant just difficult. Like breakthru bleeding after sex bleeding.

Breasts still sore here n there Nd itching crzzy, acid eflux, exhaustioin the other not so text book symptoms i have w pregnancies. Also strongsmells. Appt isnt til the 20th. We will just keep trying and find out whats wrong w me, of course eventually. And hungry more.....

Daileigh - January 11

Lady, im interestedto know ure oitcome. And.. If it comes and goes, that worries me of chance of it not lasting. Thats how i was w my son Evan who was still born. I couldnt force myself to believe and reeaallly FEEL like my life was changing and he would be living here w us.

I usually have dreams a lot when pregnant and regarding mypregnancylike i did w my first born son whos four yrs old td, five in June. And i didnt dreamsignificantly w Evan. Like he justwasnot getting here no matter what i did. Learning experience. If i was doing it all over, ... Id do it differently.

Not listening to drs necessarily. I respect em n i love em but they think theres an obvious stone cold path to answers and reasosn. Theres not. Not always.

Ive learned in these five years to trust my istinct and intuition and that the more i do the stronger it becomes.

Depends on who u r. U learn as u go. Ifu pay attention, following ur instinct is volatile.

Hey Mandy I also had a negative home test then one of the clinic that they said was very sensitive and that I was most likely not so why would my body do that? I was told because my body was changin but I doubt that because there are some symptoms that just can't be mimicked I asked my mom and she said just wait and see, I got majorly depressed because it came back negative I had a breakdown because I was tired of seeing negatives I still have a small spark of hope that I actually am.
