41 And Hoping I Am Pregnant

I am 41 and I am 14 days late. The only time that I have been past 7 days late, I was pregnant for my son who is 13. I got pregnant for him on the 4th try. In eight years, I have never been able to conceive with my current husband. We went though some infertility in which I had 4 inseminations. I did conceive on the last try but on the day I found out positive for pregnancy also found that my progesterone levels had fallen and I lost the pregnancy. I gave up after that. I have done one home pregnancy test and the Dr. did 2 urine pregnancy tests at 7 days late. All negative. I also had a qualitative blood pregnancy test at 7 days late. Negative as well. I keep reading and see that a lot of women have had the same thing happen to them and find later that they are pregnant. I was having mild to moderate cramping everyday but it seems as though that is starting to taper off. The only other symptom I have is a white discharge. When pregnant for my son, tender br___ts did not appear until I was about 3 to 4 weeks late. Now I am starting to wonder if I could still be pregnant. This is not normal for me. My cycle has always been a normal 28 day cycle, give or take 2 to 3 days. The suspense is horrible as I am now starting to hope that I am pregnant. Just when I had finally started to accept that it probably never would happen and now this. Am I just going crazy or could I really be pregnant even though the tests thus far say negative?

No, not a lot of women do..(have negative tests a week after AF is due and are still preggo.) Very, very few do. Maybe you ovulated much later than normal and the tests don't pick it up yet, that would be nice. But sometimes periods can just be missed altogether and turn up on time next month. Lets hope it's the former!!!
