Yes- I did (and know we are having a girl).. CVS is a genetic test.. it will give you s_x of the baby- if you want to know..

How long did it take for results?

I was told it would be up to 10 days (incl. weekends) but I got it back after 7 days.. this can vary- though I have read it's faster than amnio (for results).. Also- we did not opt for FISH test (a faster quick result ofmajor chromosonal issues) since it ws not covered by insurance AND there was a chance it could be a false + or - so we just wanted final final results.. Are you going to do CVS? if so- at what stage of pg? (weeks)

I am just 12 weeks today. I will have this on Friday.

I did it! It was nothing! Don't let fear stop anyone! And I will know on Monday if it is a boy or girl. YAYYYYYY at 13 weeks!

Yes I found out I was having a boy within three days of my CVS. Make sure that your doctor follows you after the CVS regarding the amniotic fluid levels (check Amniotic Fluid Index on google search) to find out what you should be at what stage of your pregnancy. I had a slow leak of amniotic fluid which can be caused by a CVS. Just make sure you stay on top of this so you can do something if the CVS does cause any complications. Take Care.

when did the dr detect the slow leak? i went in a few days later and also 2 weeks after CVS and both levels were good- nothing was noted on my 20w level ii ultrasound (though I honestly don't know if they checked levels).. thanks, Lisa

It's a girl!!!! Everything looks good. No downs or anything. I would have this test again and recommend it. I go back in 4 weeks for another level 3 ultrasound.

Yes. We found out this way. Everyone's cells grow at a different rate - they say it will take 10 days for results (including weekends.) - I found out in 6 days.
