Hi all... I just got my preliminary reports back from my ultrasound and the results are devastating. The doctor said that there are 2 echogenic foci within the ventricles of the heart and that the kidneys are likely of the horseshoe variety. I am so scared that my little boy may have Downs Syndrome that I cant eat or sleep. We did my bloodwork today and so I have 2 weeks to wait. I am 17 weeks pregnant and 30 years old. Anyone else had a similar problem?

How did the first trimester NT scan go? Was there excessive fluid behind his neck or the absence of a nasal bone? I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this- 2 weeks is a long time to wait. I had a brush with Trisomy 18 on my last pg, so I know the worry you are going through. Luckily they were wrong and she is perfect.
