I just found out last week that I am 5 weeks pregnant, I'm 37 (will be 38 in Sept). My husband and I are sooo excited. I'm a little scared, nervous and worried. I actually had some brown spotting with cramping, which has stopped, but I did go to the emergency room and they did a sonogram and blood work I was exactly 5 weeks no days on 5/22, on my sonogram they saw only the gestational sac, my HCG was 13000, they had me come back the next day for blood work to see if my HCG levels increased or decreased, they went up to 18,000. I'm a little nervous about them only seeing the sac at 5 weeks, I have to go back this Friday for another sonogram hopefully they will see the fetal pole and yolk.

hoping4baby3 - Well I just wanted to give you another update. I got another bfp on the opk today and I have one more left so I will test tomorrow as well. Should I go and buy some more or don't even waste my money? I've been bding as well and now I am starting to feel the pain in my left ovary so I am a__suming I am getting ready to ovulate and my temp went up some this morning as well. I have started drinking more water and I am not even a water drinker so that is good for me. You will be seeing the doctor a day before my birthday. I can't wait to hear about your update.
tamara37 - Congratulation!!!!! I am so happy for you. I got pg with my last baby at 36 and I bled the first trimester and I went on to have a very healthy pregnancy so stay positive and don't be stressing out. Most of all Keep Your Faith!!! Keep us updated. Krissy68

tamara37 - Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Is this your first? I would not worry if I were you, 5wks is too early to see the fetal pole and yolk... I called my doctor again yesterday to see if I can have a sonagram next week at my appoitment and she said is was too early, she says she only sees patients around 8wks. I'll keep you in my prayers but I am sure your baby is fine.
Krissy68 - Don't spend the money buying more opks, the first positive is the only one that counts. What it means is that you should o within 3 days, that is great that you keep bding... Most importantly listen to your body, you should feel your ovaries full or sore right before you O... You know I tried OPKs and took my temperature and the one month I didnt do any of that I got pregnant... I know its hard to relax but see if there's anyway you can do that... it will help! Good luck and keep us update!!!

Congrats to all you ladies who are PG and good luck to those TTC. I am 36 and 32 weeks pg with #4! The time is now flying for me... can't wait to meet my little boy!
Tamara - same thing happened to me. I went in for sono at 5w5d and all they saw was an empty sac. It scared me (especially since I had recently had a m/c), but my HCG levels were going up. My doc said everything was fine as sac measured to my dates exactly, so she didn't even bother giving me a 2nd sono. And here I am! It will be ok for you as well. When are you due?

hoping4baby3 - Thank you for the advice my temp did go down some from yesterday and I didn't bd last night either but we had already bd that morning before I went to work so I am hoping I covered yesterday if not oh well no need to get upset. I will try and bd tonight. To be honest I am not stressing and I am just trying to take it one day at a time. I am still having some slight pain in the right ovary. I will keep you updated.
babyblue2 - I had my 4th daughter at the age of 36. You only have a few more weeks left before you will be holding your little man. Are you ready? Rub your belly for me.
tamara37 - How are you doing and feeling today? Krissy68

Hi .. Im 35 and preggo with #3, my kids are 14 and 11, and this one was a surprise... :)
Im 14 wks today. Glad to see some other moms in my age group. I am getting an ultrasound next week because my uterus measured about 20 weeks last week.
Im interested in knowing how you all feel about amio? Im not sure ... I live in a kindof remote area and depending on the ultrasound results I might not have time to get it booked.
Congrats all.

gaer - Congratulation!!!!! I am so happy for you. I know when I was pg with #4 I was 35 but I turned 36 when I was 4 months and I got an amnio and everything was okay. I know you have to have it done between 17-21 weeks or something like that. Krissy68

Krissy - I am as ready as I think I can be! LOL... just got my car seat this weekend for my DD2. Now I can wash my infant carrier and I am set! I really didn't need too much this time around... just boys clothing and a double stroller. How old are your LOs? Mine are DD1 - 11, DS1 - 9, and DD2 - 19months. You must be in your 2ww by now... tell us how it goes!!
Gaer - I had a amnio at 18 weeks. It wasn't too bad. Just really scary. I was overly hormonal and anxious to begin with, so I cried during the 5 min procedure... not from the pain (there was none), but because I kept thinking "my baby needs that fluid". Tough, but worth the relief it is to know my baby is ok (we had been given a 1/35 chance of downs). Get it done somewhere where they have plenty of experience though. You don't want to add to the risk of the procedure with an inexperienced doc.

babyblue2 - Good Luck to you and I hope for a speedy delivery and recovery. Here is the breakdown of my girls: DD1 - 20, DD2 - 18, DD3 - 14(she will be 15 on 6/19) and my last DD4 - 4 and I also have 2 granddaughters ages 2 1/2 and 3 months. Yes I am in the 2ww and I know I am going to go crazy I am just trying not to think about it. I will be 41 in 2 days. I'm not real sure when I will start AF since I have been startign on the 15th I am a__suming I will start on June 15 we shall see. A friend of mines sent me all of her left over hpt but I am not going to start testing to early I am just going to try and hold out. I will let you know. I did cut all of my hair off it is real short like Jada Pinkett-Smith or Hallie Berry. The last time I cut it this short I found out the next day I was pg with my last daughter. Rub your belly for me!!! Take care and get as much rest as you can. Krissy68

Krissy~ Maybe I need to cut my hair. hehe. I'm with you on the 2ww. It'd be nice if we were finally able to do this. :) (This will be my first!)
Congrats to the rest of you ladies. I'm so happy to hear your stories. I, too, have been drinking more water and salads, when I'd much rather have something worse.
I'm a runner, but due to knee issues, haven't been doing much running at all the last 2 years..only sporadic. I feel like now's the time to get back out there and run, but am afraid to bounce around any spermies/eggs that may be up there. Any thoughts? I've always been active, but in spurts... Your thoughts? (I'm 20 lbs heavier than I'd like to be as I start this journey...but, it's likely too late for me to change that?)

Hi Everyone, went to the doctor on Friday had an ultrasound, we had some progression they saw the yolk, last week it was just an empty sac. They have me scheduled for another sonogram hopefully we can see a fetal pole. We are still optimistic, please keep us in your prayers.
