My update, had my genetic counsiling and quad test results reading yesterday. All seemed to be fine- the ratios seemed high enough for us to feel comfortable that everything is going ok. The downs ratio was 1/444 and the others were 1/1000+++. We decided against going with the amnio, as those results aren't 100% anyway, and the ratio was 1/200 for miscarriage.... And that scared us. So, I suppose my big tests are done. I totally forgot to talk about my itching, because I was so stressed about the genetic counsling, and the possible amnio. Oh well, next time... How is everyone?

Hi Kristen72! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am in my 15th week now. 2 nights ago I was turning onto my side in my sleep and I felt my little one give me a soft little poke just as I got comfortable. I can't wait till the movements become more frequent and a bit stronger. I was having terrible back pain for the past two weeks. Suddenly I woke up the other morning with my belly looking more pronounced and my back pain was completely gone.

Sorry I haven't shared the news sooner but we found out during out first Level 2 ultrasound that we're having a boy! I was only 18 week so they had me come back this week for a follow-up to check out his heart. Everything looked good. The doctor said they saw nothing to cause them any concerns!

Hi everyone, I just need to take a moment to vent my fustrations. I have a very stressfull job as an accounting manager in a company that is just barley staying afloat. And on top of it my mother is stressing me out with her problems. Today I am having another stressfull work day and at one point I was shaking and felt like my heart was beating out of my chest. I called my doctor because I wanted to make sure my baby was okay. The doctors office told me to come right in and when I got there my doctor knew just what to do. He asked me what was causing the stress and then said "we need to make you smile"....so he brought me into another room and did a sonogram. The baby was just fine and I could not belive how big it got in just the past few weeks (i am currently 18 weeks). At one point the baby turned its face directly to the camera and stayed there for a good minute. I could not belive I was laying there looking directly at my baby's face! I returned back to work with a whole new outlook. Nothing else matters except bringing this baby into the world perfectly healthy. If work piles up then oh well.....I will not be returning back here after the baby is born anyway.

Thank you ladies!! Dogmom..you just made my day too! I am very happy for you that you were able to see your lo staring right at you earlier today..you are so right... Truly nothing is as important as the health and welfare of your little growing baby. At the end of the day the stresses of your job will be so meaningless to the impact of your lo on your life..A baby is such a wonderful gift. All the best to you.
