Hey there! I am 38 and in my 3rd trimester. I can not belive the sudden changes I am going through. I was feeling okay up till this point. I am tired and in a "fog" almost all the time. Everyday tasks are becomming harder and harder. My emotions are running wild. The reality of what is going to be happening in just a few weeks is overwhelming. The holiday's are comming up and I feel like it's going to be more of a burden this year than fun. I just can't wait to meet my baby....nothing else even matters right now.

Hi dogmom. Today is my due date. I'm 35. I was doing fine until Monday. I'm hoping he comes today. I'm waiting for the OB to call me back. We're not really ready. The house is a mess. We have no food. Baby's room isn't quite ready. I was actually happy to hear him say that I'll probably be late. But now I'm in pain and it is getting harder and harder to walk/move, so I'm ready to be done. I'm just not ready for baby. So I'm not sure how much longer I can be a pregnant buddy, but I'll be here so we can talk (well, hospital doesn't have internet, so maybe I might miss out a few days).

OMG!!! How exciting it must be to finally be this close!!!! Hopefully you will be delivering very soon. I'm sure we won't be hearing from you much after the baby is born....you will be busy busy busy!!!! God bless to you, your baby boy and your family :-)

It's nice to be so close, but I'm getting sick of everyone calling today and asking about the baby since it's his due date. The OB did call and wants me to wait. I hurt too much to deal with the house, so DH is coming home early to do it. Not much longer for you!

I have been trying to keep up with the house and the groceries just in case....I live in New York and the Stop and Shop supermarket chain delivers groceries right to your door. That has helped me a lot, especially because I am still working full time. I made sure we got the baby room done ahead of time just in case I did not have the energy this trimester. I'm sure you will go real soon. I hear that pain and fatigue are some of the first signs of early labor. Keep me posted.

Hi dogmom and preggers--I am 35 and just turned 32 weeks today. I am getting bigger and more uncomfortable by the minute! I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes last week and have been following a strict "meal plan". I have had a slow and steady weight gain over the pg, have gained 25 lbs so far with 8 to go. I am not interested in 'getting it on' with my dh, and he is extra attracted to my growing body LOL. I too have been feeling overwhelmed with emotions, wondering if I am really going to be a good mom and how my DH and I are going to adjust to this precious new life coming into the world. I can hear sappy songs on the radio and the tears start. I find myself going into the nursery and just staring at the crib trying to imagine my little boy sleeping in there and i get SO excited.

dogmom - November 21

Hi Cyndilea, Nice to meet you! I stand in the baby's room and stare at the crib. Every once and a while I wind up the crib mobile and watch it go around for my own entertainment. I am feeling pretty c___py again today. I have no interest in anything else but sleeping, but have to drag myself into work. I did okay with the diabetes test, but I was also told by my doctor to watch my weight. I gained 20 lbs in the first trimester and the weight gain was pretty steady (around 3lbs per week). I went to the doctor this past Monday and I gained 6 lbs in 4 weeks instead of my usual 3....so my doctor wants me to watch it. I know the reason for the sudden increase in weight gain.....I was able to jog up until about 3 weeks ago. The jogging was helping me keep the excess weight off. I have been walking on the treadmill on the weekends just to do something, but it is not as effective as the jogging was.

I too have been spending a lot of time in my LO's room, but I'm getting sad more so because it isn't ready yet. DH didn't come home early, so nothing has been done (well, I just put up a load of dishes). I think I'm going to make him finish the house this weekend, unless I can get this LO out. So many signs now that he is trying to come out, but none of them are good enough for L&D to take me in yet :(

dogmom - November 21

Hey Preggers! Your still with us? I'm sure your probably sitting on pins and needles waiting for your little guy to get here.

FinallyPreggers - November 21

Still with you lol. Actually I'm sitting on a birthing ball to ease the pain and hope he drops more (from the looks of my belly he's dropped several inches this week). I keep asking him to do something to make L&D take me lol! How many weeks are you dogmom? cyndilea, not much longer on the diet! Hang in there!

dogmom - November 21

Preggers, I am about to start my 29th week. I'm sure with the holidays comming up my baby will be here before I know it. This pregnancy has gone by pretty quickly. I am starting to screw up things at work....I am getting real stupid!

FinallyPreggers - November 21

Stupid and clumsy. That's totally me! Do you feel movement of your LO? Do you know the gender? The only part of pregnancy I'm going to miss is the movement.

Hi, I'm barging into this tread- Hey dogmom!!! I'm 37 years old, and am... (kinda funny!) 37 weeks! I'm not quite ready yet. The last shower has the baby's room filled with gift bags - mostly clothing, that doesn't have tags/ receipts,etc... so I'm frustrated to go through it. We have too many clothes!!! I still need a few things, like a crib matress- bottles, and some other small items. I was hoping to be able to use some merchandise credit, but well, we'll see. I have to get through those bags! My BF volunteered us to do thanksgiving this year- his side, and my side- 45 people (seriously). And, I don't even really cook so I'm just not looking forward to thanksgiving. It will be very stressful and I'm uncomfortable and just want to sit and not be bothered. My skin feels like it's splitting, and the more I walk around the more she feels like she's hanging out right between my legs. Sigh..... Oh, and to top it off- my bathroom is demo-ed right now and I am still going back and forth with a contractor about pricing. Help!!! Ok, i think I may cry now.

FinallyPreggers - November 25

Hi micsmms3, welcome to the club! I cannot believe your BF volunteered you to make thanksgiving and that people actually accepted!!! We've been excused from the whole thing. Do you have somewhere for your LO to sleep? A car seat so you can bring him/her home? If you do, then the other things can get done more slowly. If you can make a bit of progress every day, that might help you. I was doing that and fine with it until I hit my due date and started showing some 'pre-labor' symptoms. They don't mean much though. I'm 5 days overdue.

dogmom - November 25

Hey everyone! Nice to see you here! Finallypreggers.....any minute now!!!! I'm sure this waiting seems like an eternity. Kind of like all those months ago when we thought there could be a possibility of pregnancy, but we had to wait a few days/weeks to take a pregnancy test to know for sure.

micsmms3 - November 26

Yes, this day to day "waiting" is very strange! A friend of a friend was due same time I am, and she had her baby last night. An 8 lb-er! Thanks for the sympathy... it is very appreciated! I mostly keep my mouth shut and respond as if everything is great- as not to irritate those around me too much. It's nice to have somewhere to vent. So, thank you. Yes, I have a car seat, and a moses basket for my bedroom... I'm going to go Friday or Saturday to collect the last few items that we absolutely need. Me along with the rest of the black friday shoppers. Once that' s done I'll feel a little better. Then I'll only have my bathroom and the contractors to p__s me off! Boy, they are reving me up for a big bi*ch session! Never p__s a pregnant lady off... Then again, I better not go off on them or they may back out of doing my bathroom. Ugg. Hope everyone is well, hang on in there! We are close! ; )

Well girls, they do come out! He was born Nov 26. When we finally got home there were tons of things we needed, including my prescriptions. My sister, mom and dad have all been running errands for us. How are you two holding out?
