Hey Krissy,
Well I got my first period and now waiting until it stops and to start to look for signs of fertility which should probably start happening by next Saturday. What a long wait! But no I didn't get that early BFP I was hoping for. So now we will see and if nothing happens in a few cycles then I will also ask my OB to see a specialist as well. Keep me posted and have a great weekend and Valentine's Day. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Hi KLM - How are you doing? I am glad AF finally showed up so now you can get a fresh start. As for me I really don't know anything about the implantion dip but yesterday was cd 19/6 dpo and my temp was 98.33 and the day before that cd 18/5dpo my temp was 98.57 so I am a__suming that yesterday was the dip because today cd 20/7dpo my temp went up to 98.39. I am planning on testing tomorrow even though I know it is way too early I am only doing this for the fun of it so I have already prepared myself that it will be negative. I just know 4 years ago when V-Day fell on a Saturday I got my bfp with my last daughter and AF wasn't due for another 8 days. I will let you know. Do you have any plans for the special day? I don't I will be home and spend it with the kids. I am still waiting on my insurance company to get back with my family dr so I can see the fertility dr. I did talk to the nurse at the fertility clinic and she said that with my insurance they will only cover 50% so for my first visit it will be $88.55, I will have to have blood work done but she said I can go to the lab that I normally go too and I know my insurance will pay 100% of that so that is good. I will have to have a HSS procedure not real sure what that is I think she said it is a u/s where they insert a saline solution up in the uterus not real sure but I will find out when the time come, that is going to cost around $250. Then my finance will have to have a SA and that will cost $125.00 and that is as far as I got. I will give my dr office until Tuesday then I will be calling them back to see what the status is my family dr nurse said it normally take 7-10 days and they submited my paperwork this Monday so I still have a few more days I just need to be patient and wait it out. I will talk to you soon. Have a GREAT WEEKEND!!! Krissy68

Hi Krissy,
Wow that sure sounds expensive to have all the testing, etc. done but I really hope that it will help when trying to conceive and get a bfp. Hopefully the fertility specialist will find an answer for you soon. We didn't do much on Valentine's Day as my Aunt pa__sed away from cancer and went to her funeral for which I read a nice pa__sage from the bible and was nervous but felt like I did O.K. so I really didn't have much time to go out for supper. But will make up for it this weekend coming. Still flowing a small amount from af but now will really watch to see when I will be fertile since this is the first af since miscarriage so we'll see what happens. Your temps sound good especially when they are high so let me know what happens! Talk to you soon!!

KLM - I am sorry for your Aunt's pa__sing. I know you can't wait to start back bding how long are your AF days? Mines are normally 6-7 days long heavy. Good Luck to you this cycle and Keep me posted. We didn't do anything either because we knew it would be crowded everywhere you went. We went out to breakfast and dinner on Friday and then went to dinner again on Sunday so that was nice to spend some one on one time. I did take a hpt like I said I was and it was Negative I was only 8 dpo so I knew it. I am now cd 24/11dpo and it is 11 days above my coverline which is good for me. I am not going to get my hopes up. I will watch for a few more days to see what the temps are looking like if they start going down then I already know what is up she will be knocking just like clock work. According to fertility friend I can take a hpt on Sunday Feb 22 and I should start AF between Sunday 2/22 or Monday 2/23 because my cd are normally 29-30 days long. I will keep you posted. I just got off the phone with my dr office to find out the status of the insurance and now the insurance company is requesting additional information whatever this means so she said to call her back in a week. I will let you know. Talk to you soon. Krissy68

Hey Krissy,
Well I started bd a few days ago since I noticed that my cervical mucus was looking like egg white so we'll see what happens. My OB wanted me to start again with FertilityFriend again too but I noticed that since I stopped using it and looking at my mucus that is when I got pregnant as normally FertilityFriend would always pinpoint ovulation either way before or after the fact so I stopped relying on it. If you take the length of your cycle and divide it in two that is what worked for me the last time I was pregnant. For example I normally have a period roughly every 28 days so around cd 14 or 15 I start to bd and so far it seems to be working so I'll keep you posted. Glad to hear that your temps are still up but I agree don't test too soon as I found I would always get frustrated getting a negative result. This is our first attempt after miscarriage so I'm anxious to see what happens. Though I had an unusually long flow almost running into the time we should be bd'ing so I'll wait and see. I won't get my hopes up this cycle. So in the meantime keep me posted on what is happening and I will talk to you soon!! Take care!!

KLM - So good to hear from you. How have you been doing? Good Luck to you this cycle, keeping you in my prayers and my fingers are cross. Well here is my little update I got a call from my family dr on 2/19 to let me know that the insurance company had approved my referal to see the RE and that they had faxed the information over to their office and that I needed to call to set up the dr. visit. I called and talk to a real nice girl and she was real helpful she was going to send me out a packet and she schedule me an appointment for 3/2 I know a long way away. She also said I need to have my FSH and E2 checked on either cd 2 or 3 so I had to call my family dr back to get a lab slip. I picked that up on Friday and then I called the RE back to see if they had any earlier appointment and she said No she would call if someone cancelled but of course it is Thursday and noone cancel so I will just see what happen on Monday I just got off the phone with the family dr to see if my lab was back and she said it was but it was on the dr desk and I had to wait to get the result after he reviewed but that they would fax it over to the RE office as soon as he sign off on it. I started on AF a few days earlier on Saturday 2/21 so I took my test on cd 3. I was hoping I got in to see the RE this week so I could at lest start some clomid that didn't work out and I think I have the worse insurance it will only cover 50% and NO injectables and my first visit is going to cost $80 and if they want to check my fiance SA which I know they will that is going to cost $140. I will be on cd 10 when I go I will give you an update after the visit. Take care and I will talk to you soon. Krissy68

Hi Krissy,
My OB prescribed something called PregVit with 5mg of folic acid and you take one pink vitamin in the morning and one blue one at night. Might not hurt to ask your OB about trying it and I will start it if I get a/f within the next few days. I've had sore nipples, headaches, and other pregnancy symptoms just like I had the last time but will wait for another week before I test just to make sure but I hope we both get some answers and BFP's soon. Keep me updated when you find out your results and I will too! Take care and have a great weekend!!

KLM - So much has happened since I last posted to you. Well I went to my initial consult with the fertility dr and to me it didn't go so good. According to him I have 3 strikes. 1 My FSH level was 8.4 and he said for a woman my age (40)it should have been 8 and below and my E2 was 53 he didn't say anything but that it was okay. 2. My left tube is blocked 3. My age. He recommended me going straight to IVF. Well you know that is totally out of the question I don't have about $17,000 to pay for this type of treatment. This all took place Monday (3/2) I was sad, down and depress and really didn't know what to do so after crying for 2 days straight I came up with a plan and that is I called the RE office back and I talk to the financial consultant and I told her I am not doing the IVF and that I would like to utilize what my insurance will help me pay for and that is IUI they will pay 50% and I can have 3 trys per lifetime whatever that means. I first have to have my fiance SA done and that will cost $140 and the Male Fertility Lab stuff and that will be $240.00 then I have to have some more blood work done and that is fine because my insurance will pay 100% then I have to have a laparoscopy with the hysteroscopy and that will cost me $650 and I have to pay for the anesthia and that will cost $525. The IUI will cost $900 and the injectable meds will cost between $1,500-$2,000. I then went on to ask her can I make payments until I have one part paid off at a time and she said yes no problem. She also said she will submit my referal to my insurance company for the sugery. After talking to her on Wednesday I got to thinking yesterday after I called the family and gyn doctors to see if they would do the procedure for me because that way the insurance will pay 100% and all I would have to pay for is $100 copay because of the outpatient surgery. Both doctors told me no they would refer me to a speacilist well my logic of thinking is isn't that what the RE is? I emailed her and I wrote her a letter today to see if this can be done and I also sent in $425 so now I have to come up with $750 and I am hoping to have this done by April 3. I will keep you updated. Krissy68

KLM - How are you doing? I haven't talk to you in awhile. I just wanted to give you an update. I just got an email from my RE office and my insurance will be paying 100% for me to have my surgery. I am so very happy now all I am waiting on is for AF to show up next week I'm thinking between March 20-22, I can only have the surgery done between cd 6-12. I will keep you updated. Take care and have a very nice weekend. Krissy68

Hi Krissy,
I started taking these prenatal vitamins called PregVit and you take one in the morning and one in the evening but I'm beginning to loose hope. I had pregnancy symptoms last a/f but got a/f but a very strange one. Short and lots of what looks like fertile mucus but I don't know. I feel like just giving up. Now I have to pay for all medical out of pocket now too since hubby is laid off and I know it isn't cheap. I was really glad to hear that your surgery will be covered and can maybe give you some hope or answers. I sure do hope Krissy we both get some BFP's soon. I know this is my first a/f after miscarriage but feel that it probably won't happen again as I think that I may not be very fertile after miscarriage. I also don't know when I ovulate or if it will be all over the place so that's frustrating too. I wish we lived close together so that way we could come and talk to each other but I live in Canada and not sure where you live but I sure appreciate having a waiting buddy to talk to and vent when necessary as I'm sure you do too. But ask your insurance company if they would cover the PregVit prenatal vitamins I started taking as they may help you also. Let me know what's new and I will keep in touch. Have a great St. Patrick's Day!! Take care!!

KLM - How are you doing? It realy sucks trying to have a baby. Well I got bad news today. I thought my insurance was going to cover my surgery 100% but it's not they just gave the approval for the authorization I still have to pay $1,175.00 up front before I can even schedule the surgery. I did send in money 2 weeks ago but it was no where near the amount I need. I still need $750. Sorry about your hubby being laid off and I know how hard that is well my fiance isn't working and all of this is falling on me financially. I think once I get the money together to have the surgery that might be it cause I can't see me coming up with $900 to have the IUI and plus come up with $1,500-$2,000 maybe for the medicine. I live in California and I wish we did leave close by as well. If you would like to email privately and not on the board that would be fine as well. I already know for me to get that PregVit I would have to have a prescription and I know they will not give me one just yet. I know I can't get it over the counter. How was your St Patrick's Day? I will update you later on what is up with me. Take care and I will talk to you soon. Krissy

Hey Krissy,
Sorry I haven't e-mailed in awhile but still waiting until next Tuesday to see if a/f comes this cycle. My basal temps though have been all over the place which possibly would indicate that I may not be ovulating again. I'm really frustrated and decided to get another OB who is a specialist to check me out. Unfortunately I have to wait until May 27 to see what is going on and in the meantime he wants me to have all this blood work, etc done including hubby. So now the waiting game is on again. When you were pregnant before, what symptoms did you have? I've noticed that I'm getting what seems like pregnancy symptoms just like my last cycle, headaches, nipples getting darker, but I guess I don't get very excited anymore. I was also told that it takes about three months to get straightened around after a m/c. So April will be my third month and wondering if I'm still fertile. Anyhow I was sad to hear about now paying for your surgery and hope that maybe there is another way to get the cost covered. I find it very difficult that most insurance companies won't even cover any type of fertility meds including vitamins to help. I think they should rethink their policies for women trying to get pregnant or have the specialists lower their prices so people can afford to have IUI or invitro. I will really pray hard for us that something will happen soon but try not to give up. I didn't do anything for St. Patrick's Day just mainly relaxed. Just waiting for Easter around the corner. Maybe the Easter bunny will drop some "good eggs" in our basket we can only hope!! Anyhow take care and I will talk to you soon and let me know what's up with you!! KLM

KLM - I am keeping my fingers cross that AF don't show up next week. Good Luck with the new OB and I hope he can give you better answers of what is going on. I hate having to do blood work over and over again. When I was pg the only real telltale sign I had was having to pee a lot I'm talking to where it was waking me up and I was really tired and it was sore under my armpits. I can't really think of anything else. I think you are still fertile so don't think that you are not. Well I haven't posted the latest to what have been going on with me. I was rushed to the ER on March 20 because my family doctor thought the pain I was having in my side was my appendix well it turns out I have more firbroids and half of them are the size of plums so that is why I was in so much pain they had me really doped up on pain medicine and when they did my blood work they said my blood level was extremely low and they had admitted me into he hospital and they wanted me to have a blood transfusion and a hysterocomy I was like I am not that high off this medicine and I want to check myself out of the hospital so I can have some time to think. While I was in the ER they did do a pg test and it was negative which I already knew it would be but anyway AF showed up just like clock work on March 21 and on Monday March 23 I went to see a new ob/gyn doctor and she told me we would take baby steps and that she didn't think I needed to have a hysterocomy and that black women are more prone to having fibroids and that it is normal even though it is painful so next Thursday April 9 I will be having a endometriss biospy and I am really scared because I know this will be really painful. Also the nurse for the RE office had called to let me know that they had gotten all the blood work back and that I have to have another blood test because the HTLV came back adnormal and this is a indication that I could have lekeminia and also I tested positive to the antibodies of causing me to have m/c so if and when I get pg they will treat me for this and of course I will be high risk. I haven't taken my other blood test yet I guess I will do it next week since the doctor is in the same building as the lab and I will let you know. Take care and I am thinking about you. Krissy

Hi Krissy,
Holy cow! You sure have been through the mill lately and I really hope that you get better news soon and let me know how the blood test went! As for me I'm on cycle day 41 and have had two urine and one blood test which are negative. I went to a walk in clinic today and got really angry and told the doc there that there is definitely something wrong since I miscarried and he is going to send me for another ultrasound before I see the specialist next month. I thought for sure this time was it as I've had many pregnancy symptoms but as usual negative. I wonder how long it takes before you get straightened around after a miscarriage. I've just about given up. The doc at the clinic told me that I'm too young for menopause but I said hey I'm 38 soon to be 39. So now again I have to wait too but I hope that the biopsy will go well if you need to have it. I guess we'll both just have to think positive but its getting harder and harder. Anyhow I will keep in touch and let me know what's up with you and I'm thinking about you too!Kerri

Hi Krissy,
Just a note that I went 48 days and finally had the old time of the month and went very heavy and wondered if I miscarried again? Anyhow I was thinking about you the last few weeks and wondered how you are doing and if you found out anything? I hope you had a great Mother's Day I took my son to an aviary to see the animals but I still felt sad and thought that I still should have been pregnant as it was exactly four months to the day on Mother's Day that I miscarried but I will be going to a specialist in a few weeks and hopefully either get some good news or an idea of what's wrong. Anyhow let me know how you are and take care girl!!
