Hi Krissy and Tammy - Not much going on here for me. I am 4 dpo, in the 2ww. My doctor appointment was not much - they are sending me to a fertility specialist and also for an ultrsound because I have fibroids and history of ovarian cysts. Krissy - I feel your pain about the insurance limits - I hope you have some luck there. I am 44 so I think alot of procedures are limited to 42 and below. But we will see how things go. Tammy - glad your renter finally settled in, hope that lasts. Thanks for the info on the IUI. And I have not tried any meds yet so can't help with the Femara - sorry. Take care ladies and good luck this month!!! Terri

Hi ladies I am so sorry that I have been MIA. I have been dealing with a lot but I am doing much better. I am still not pg I got AF on Nov 29 so I am now cd 17 and I haven't been doing the opk like I am suppose to I got a bfp on the opk on saturday cd 15 and I forgot to take it yesterday and I just decided not to take one today. I have only bd on cd 9-10, 15 (got the pos on the opk), 17 so far. I will keep everyone updated. Keeping my fingers cross that we get some more bfp. I am stuck with my insurance for another year and I was reading up on the fertility plan and they will pay 50% I can attempt this for 3 cycles I just don't think my gyn can do this and he will have to refere me out I have one more month to see if the HSG worked or not. Talk to everyone real soon. Krissy68

Hey ladies!! Looks like the holidays have taken up our time to chat. I have been trying to see what I'm going to do next. I have a rx of Femara that expires next month so I may try to take it. I called my re and they said to call when my cycle starts. Well I get to call them tomorrow since af came today. I was 4 days late and was starting to get hopeful. Oh well!! I'm still going to do acupressure but I may need more. I'm going to see about starting low if I go back to re treatment. Hope all is well!! Keep me posted!!

Hey Krissy!! I'm glad you had a good Christmas. I'm glad its over too. I have started take another stab at eating better for fertility. I'm going to start eating breakfast and only drinking warm or hot drinks. I'm drinking tea and its not too bad. My herbalist says this can help so I'm willing to try just about anything at this point. I'm trying some new herbs to help with digestion. I hope it works. I guess it can't hurt. Have a happy new year and keep me posted.-Tammy

Hi Ladies - I apologize for being gone for so long. The holidays were sooo busy and DH and I are redoing our kitchen. So I haven't had alot of extra time. My appointment with my fertility specialist is tomorrow. I missed a phone call from my OB/GYN on Friday. She had the results from my ultrasound and wanted to go over it with me. That makes me nervous because the doctor never calls herself. Anyway. I will find out tomorrow one way or the other. I didn't pay any attention this month to temps or ovulation - I wanted to give it a rest. So I think I should be seeing AF any day now. Good luck to you both and take care, Terri

growingstjc - How did your doctors appointment go? Did you get finish remodleing your kitchen. Happy New Year. Krissy68

gowingstjc - January 6

Hi Krissy, Happy New Year to you also and everyone else. They did the basic info collecting at the Fertility Dr. and an exam. As soon as I start my period they want me to call to set up the blood work and that test where the shoot the dye into you to see if your tubes are blocked. They gave the hubby a take home sperm collection kit, so he has to turn that back in. Hopefully we should know more in a couple of weeks - good or bad. Take care and good luck this month. Terri

growingstjc - I am so excited for you. I might be going the same route. Do your insurance cover your fertility doctor? The insurance I have is a HMO so they don't cover as much as the PPO I wish I had a PPO but open season is closed now. If I am not pg this month then I will be making a doctor's appointment with the gyn to see what is next he might have to do my referal to a RE. I will keep you update and you do the same. Keeping my fingers cross. Krissy68

Hi Krissy, My insurance will pay for everything so far. The diagnostic testing I mean. Now if the testing shows that I am going into menopause then I would guess all bets are off. But I have my fingers crossed. I come from a fertile group of ladies and my mom didn't go into menopause until she was in her mid 50's. I am 44 now, and hopeful. The only thing that I know the ins. won't pay for is an IVF. They limit that to 42 yo and below. My temp dropped this morning so I think AF should be here today or tomorrow. I am exited and anxious to get this all going. I am a little nervouse about the dye test, I have heard on this board that it is painful. But it is all worth it. You might be surprised what your ins. will pay for. I have a HAP HMO and so far the coverage does seem reasonable for my age. Good luck Krissy and you are in my thoughts. Terri

Krissy68 - January 7

growingstjc - That's good about your insurance covering everything and I think mines do the same they don't cover IVF no matter what the age is. Keeping my fingers cross and you are not about to start going into memopause so stop thinking like that. Here to a new cycle and a BFP on your HPT. When you do the dye test just take something for pain before the procedure and you will be okay trust me it is a little painful only if the tubes are blocked and think positive. I will be starting the next step in my process if I am not pg this cycle keep me posted and good luck to you. Krissy68

Hey ladies!! Sorry its been a while but I have been working and trying to stay on this new herb regimen. Its cycle day 14 for me so dh and I have been bd'ing every other day since cycle day 10. It sounds like you ladies have been busy. gowingstjc- When is your dye test? It is painful but it will answer some questions for you. Good luck!! Krissy- Hope all is well. I'm not familiar with the soy isoflavans. They are like natural clomid? That's worth a try. I'll be praying for you. Well I'll keep you posted and you do the same. Baby dust!!

gowingstjc - January 12

Toothfairy - so good to hear from you. My dye test is on Thursday morning. I think I will take the whole day off, just in case its too painful. I had my blood drawn on Saturday and DH is going in with his sperm for a___lysis this Saturday. After that we go back in for test results and more direction from the Doc. She wants to jump right to injectables with me because of my age. Has anyone used those? Good luck this month ladies, Terri

tooth fairy - January 13

gowingstjc- Good luck on Thursday. You will be in my prayers. Like I said earlier the test is painful but I'm only speaking from my experience. It is only painful when the dye goes through and its fairly quick when that part comes. I went back to work afterward and just took it easy. Just take some Tylenol or something before. I did mine about a 1 1/2 yrs ago. Well don't be nervous , just be positive. 2009 is our year of hope!! Keep me posted!! -Tammy

Krissy68 - January 13

tooth fairy - I am now I guess in the 2ww I got a bfp on the opk on cd 12 & 13 I will keep you updated. growingstjc - I will keep my fingers cross let us know how the test go when you can. Krissy68
