I have a great oatmeal cookie recipe that you could just add chips to. It's good if you have anyone who can't have eggs (or wheat) since it has neither, but I'm sure you could subst_tute wheat flour for the oat flour. I just made these last night and as usual, they were a hit. I would maybe only bake them for 15 minutes with chocolate chips in the recipe because they are pretty crunchy at the 20 minute bake-time. If you try it, let me know how they come out.. BTW, I just put in the spices to give them a little extra flavor, my own touch... Bridget's Eggless, Wheatless Oatmeal Cookies 3/4 cup softened b___ter 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 1/4 cup water 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 2 teaspoons vanilla 3 cups quick cook oatmeal 1 cup oat flour 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon allspice parchment paper *1/3 cup pureed raisins-optional,described below Cream and sugars together. Add water and vanilla and blend. If using raisins, add them to this mixture. Combine oatmeal, oat flour, baking soda, baking powder and spices together. I use a wire wisk to blend them evenly. Add to the first set of ingedients and mix well. Put parchment paper on cookie sheet. This makes ALL the difference in having non-burned cookie bottoms and is worth the trouble. Make meatball sized b___s (1 1/2") and lay them on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 350* for about 15 minutes without raisins and 5 minutes longer with raisins. *I use pureed raisins in this recipe. I make them by putting them in the food processor with a little oat flour and sugar and grind them until they are almost pasty. This is good for kids that would pick them out of a cookie as if they were a bug, like my son surely would.

These are some good recipes. I usually use the recipe off of the Quaker Oatmeal container. I've only made them once and they turned out great. I'm going to try the Choc-Oat-Chip cookies.
