Nausea Immediately After Conception Please Help

Hey Ladies! I was wondering if any of you have experienced nausea only a day or a few right after conceiving and turn out you were, in fact, pregnant? I think I may have conceived within the past 5 days, and have been having hot spells that are accompanied by nausea. I have been TTC for 3 months and previously have had "scares" but this has never happened to me. I know that implantation doesn't not normally happen that early so therefor there is no hormone to cause this... what's the deal? Is my mind playing tricks on me??

Shannon: I've had the same thing, honestly, and it feels different than anything I have felt before...but I've never been pregnant either, so I'm in the same boat. Not TTC, though, so when I got the symptoms I wasn't *TRYING* to feel them...if that helps? Right when I figured it could be pregnancy I started getting a lot more "symptoms"...but I did definitely have the hot "waves" of nausea. Only for a few days, too, so I know it wasn't the flu (or, at least I think it wasn't 'cause everything else seemed normal and it wasn't constant!)

Serendetia, thank you for responding so quickly!! Weird feeling, huh? I have never been pregnant either so this is all new to me. Do you think you may be pregnant now? If so, when was your last period? I am glad to see I am not the only one who is "crazy". :-)

Seredetia - January 2

lol...yeah, I've been thinking that I was crazy since I started suspecting I was pregnant. And, I honestly feel that I am, though it's SO hard to tell! My last period started on Dec. 4...so this would be CD30. I've never counted before, so I have no idea if this is normal...I guess from past AFs it's hard to tell. I always went by calendar date which is SO not accurate. LOL. Figured my AF was on the 4th last month, so it would come from the 3-5 this month. That's usually how it works. ;) Every couple of months it moves down a day or so....weird. So, basically I'm do anytime. I felt like it was coming SO bad two days ago (Dec. 31st) late in the evening...had the cramping, irritation, etc. then it went away later on that night and the feeling reappeared the next morning. Haven't felt like it's coming since.

I'm actually going to the doctor tomorrow (OB/GYN) to see if I'm completely crazy. Want to see if maybe I have a hormonal imbalance if I'm not pregnant. I've had terrible bloating and ga__siness since Dec. 19th..plus headaches, swollen bb's, dizziness, and I've had CM the WHOLE time (very unusual for me, really...though, my outside dried up a few days ago yet my cervix remained wet. I know, TMI...sorry!) Hopefully these are positive signs...have you been experiencing any?

Ohh wow girl, you could probably test now and get an accurate result, to set your mind at ease. According to this website I found, you should have ovulated/conceived around Dec. 18th. The website is http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/gettingpregnant/l/blpregcalc.htm Hope that helps. As a matter of fact, a 28 day cycle is considered normal, but I think at CD30, you're still in "normal" zone. Mine is usually 28-30. Seriously, you should test tomorrow.. and let me know the result!

Seredetia - January 2

That's the thing, Shannon, I tested today and got a BFN! I'm so confused...that's why I'm going to the OB/GYN tomorrow. I feel so very odd, though, so even if it's not pregnancy it could very well be something serious. I'm hoping for the former rather than the latter. If you're a prayer, I need support!

I agree, very much so. If you are still late by the time you go to the Gyno, and are not pregnant, a delayed period can be caused by stress. Sad, I know, stress is looking on the bright side of things! LOL... you'll be fine. Me, I am not having any other symptons other than the sick feeling. I still have a while to wait for my period to show up (hopefully it won't). i am safe to test on Jan. 14th. We timed everything right this time, I hope. That's why I started this thread, cuz I thought it was a little odd for me to be having any kind of symptom this early. Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I beleive I actually do have a little stomache bug, which has been going on for a few days now. Oh well.... we'll see soon, right? Let me know how your appointment goes tomorrow, k???

Seredetia - January 2

I'll definitely let you know! Let me know your results when you get them. :) I've become so enganged in this forum since about the 28th of Dec. or so after my first visit with the doctor on the 25th thinking I had the flu...I didn't. LOL. It was when I was getting sick at work and yelling at my supervisor (ICK!!) that everyone started to ask me if I was pregnant...got me thinking, you know? Because the timing would have been just about perfect.

Seredetia - January 2

Sad thing is, I don't even know what tests to ask for if any...hopefully the doctor will know. He's pretty good and I have faith in him. :)

Hey guys! When I got pregnant last year, I was like 6-7 weeks before I got a +. So it you get a -, don't think that is the end of the story. This month I am at 29 days so far, but my periods are messed up a little. When I lost the baby in June, I didn't have a period at all in July. Then in Aug. I had a very hard 10 day period. Then in Sept. I had a regular 25 days and then is Oct. I had a regular 26 days and then in Nov. I had a very strange 36 days. So who knows with me. Like I said, so far it is at day 29 and still counting. I tested this morning and BFN. I am going to wait until at least 36-37 days maybe 40 and then test again if I don't get AF. I am so confused. Oh! Also do you know when they say that your temp. goes up does that mean your regular temp. or you bbt, because my temp. has been running about 98.9-99.1 for the past few days. I don't know???? Thanks

Ladies, the mind can be a very powerful thing. I've had a couple of cycles in my many months of charting where I started feeling very bad nausea quite early. I wasn't pregnant. When I actually was pregnant, I didn't feel anything until about 6 weeks along. That being said, I too have been feeling a bit sick lately and am hoping that you ladies are right (even though I know it must be impossible to feel nausea this early). Good luck to you!

_Shannon_ - January 3

Welcome Cindy and Snickelfritz! And Serendetia, I am waiting for you!! I hope everything went well with your appointment. I am sure you are ok! Well look at what we've got here... no more sickness! HAD to have been a tummy bug. I am not crazy after all. Well, me thinking it was an early pregnancy sign, yes I guess I am a little bit nuts. Today I had loads of wet stuff in undies (sorry TMI) but thats about it for me! 2WW seriously sucks a__s!!

snickelfritz - January 3

Shannon, at least you got over your bug and don't feel so icky anymore. If you are pg, you deserve a couple of weeks at least before getting morning sickness! I was so thankful to not get it until 6 weeks with my son. But then I got hit hard! Do you know when you ovulated? I ovulated 13 days ago and expect my period tomorrow. My nausea is still here (the smell of cigarettes at lunch almost made me puke... I had a dry heave leaving the restaurant!) but I'm also cramping like I do before AF arrives, so I expect this will not be a month for a BFP. Good luck to you!

_Shannon_ - January 3

Snickelfritz, everything with you sounds promising! Cramping is supposed to be normal even if you are PG. I ovulated somewhere around new years, I didn't have ovulation pain like I usually do, so I couldn't pinpoint it. I am testing the 14th if no AF by then! Can't wait!!

snickelfritz - January 3

Thanks Shannon! Good luck to you!
