Vivid Dreams Sign Of Preggo Or Just Luteal Phase

I've been TTC for 4 months, and I've had vivid dreams in my luteal phase with each cycle, and no BFP. I'm beginning to wonder if it's commone for women to have these dreams during this time of the month ... and maybe it's not related to pregnancy. Anyone else?

what exactly do you mean by "vivid" dreams?

Hey sugar and spice: Well, normally I have an occasional dream here and there, but lately, post ovulation, I have these dreams that are totally weird, sometimes scary, and very real-life. Like, when I wake up, I'm in such a deep sleep, and have to say, it's not real, go back to sleep. This tends to only happen after ovulation.

i've been having dreams lately too, that are scary at times and now that i think of it the last time i was prego, i had them. i had one early this morning about a murderer coming after me(which isnt the first time) when i woke up i was scared to death there was really someone in the house. i guess that would be cla__sified as vivid, right?

Oh, one more thing: I've been SUPER restless at night as AF approaches. Last night I woke up 3 times. This could be because I'm nervous about getting AF, or maybe something else ...?

Hi girls....I have noticed that I have been having very vivid dreams from O to AF too....I used to think they were a sign if you were pregnant because I had them with each of my 3 pregnancies...but last cycle I had a few of those dreams and this cycle I have had them EVERY night since I O'd and I am on 14dpo today....I also have been an insomniac since I O'd....

Me too! I have a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep post-O. Jeanette, keep me posted, OK! How long is your LP usually? Do you have b___st pain? Any other symptoms?

babydreams....I am on the "Lambs" thread if you want to keep up with me, you are welcome to come in and chat anytime. I am at 14dpo, been having sore b___bs off and on, mostly at night, severly growling tummy and slight nausea. Temps have been real high my whole luteal, but took a dip today...so I am expecting AF tomorrow. Its kinda weird, though...I have had 28 day cycles for 6 months straight like clockwork...and I am on CD 29 today....I guess my body needed to throw me off this cycle ....LOL!

Oh yeah...had a positive opk at cd13, severe O pains on cd 14 ( thats when I believe I O'd ) ...but FF says I O'd on cd15 according to my temps. My luteal phase is usually a straight 14 days....So, according to me, I am 15dpo...but FF says I am 14dpo.

LOL....I keep remembering stuff. I have been cramping off and on since I O'd....last night I cramped and my b___bs were really sore, and today.........NOTHING. UGH!

The rise in progesterone is what causes vivid dreams in the luteal phase as well as in pregnancy. Its a premenstrual symptom as well as an early preg symptom as progesterone stays high. I chart and have noticed vivid dreams every cycle after ovulation which usually starts on the same day my breasts get tender (resulting from progesterone as well) I then did my research and turns out that is a common luteal phase symptom before Af. Lets hope the dreams stay positive! (Pun intended lol)
