Is This Normal Or Could There Be Something Wrong With My Son

My son is due to turn 4 next month, and he has this thing that he does that makes me worry there is something wrong. He will say that same thing over and over again, even after I answer him he just keeps saying it. Not like when he is asking for things, could just be a comment but its like he can't seem to let it go. Any thoughts??

If your thinking that he might be having a seizure. I know that nothing is suppose to stop it. So if you put your hand over his eyes or tap your finger in between his eye and he still doesn't stop I would talk to your doctor about it and they can set up an EEG.

Have him screened for autism specturm disorder, scary I know, but I live it everyday with my son who's 7. At 4, echolalia, repeating phrases, can be a sign of autism

I agree with Comommy as soon as you said mentioned constant repet_tion I thought of my 5 year old autistic son.

You son has just begun learning to say something. If he is comfortable in saying something and he likes it saying, he prefers to repeat it.
