I am currently prescribed to the birth control pill Apri, which I normally take religiously, but recent changes in my nightly routine have made me a tad bit forgetful. Well this last pack of pills I was incredibly forgetful, I probably missed five different days of pills. My last cycle of pills ended and my period started during the week of November 5th (I can't remember the exact day). I was supposed to start my new pack on November 12th, but I was distracted by some personal problems at the time and I missed the first five days. Being the irresponsible person I am, I ignored the risk and had unprotected s_x twice during this time. I think I may be pregnant. I know it's still too early to get a reliable result from a pregnancy test, but as the days have passed the magnitude of the risk I have taken is making me more and more paranoid. Although my boyfriend and I have been in a committed relationship for well over two years now, I'm still only nineteen and neither one of us has the resources to take care of a child. I'm just looking for some support and advice, because until I have an answer I'm going to be driving myself mad worrying over the possibility of being pregnant.

There is at best a 30% chance of getting pregnant in any one cycle under the best of plans. Seems like you had unprotected s_x during the fertile window. Your next period should be due soon. Do you have any early signs to brag on? Take a home preg test next weekend and repeat a week later if still in doubt. GL!
