First of all, does your doctor know of your intentions not to do a repeat c-section? I will be 29 weeks tomorrow and when I began seeing my doctor, the practice allowed VBAC. Since then though, they have faced pressure from other docs at the hospital to not do them anymore. If my doc is on call, she said she will proceed with the VBAC, but she told me to be aware if she is not there that the other docs will want to do a repeat c-section. To that I kindly responded that they can not put me in the OR w/out my written consent. If you don't mind me asking, what was the reason for your c-section? My first baby was breech and also stillborn, which is why I went through w/a c-section delivery. If this baby is head down and if things are looking good, i plan to VBAC. There is a lot of info out there. There's a group on cafemom that is REALLY devoted to VBAC. Make sure you're aware of the real risks of a VBAC, as many docs will try to scare you into a repeat c-section. The only reason why I may do a repeat is if I have not had cervical progression by 39 weeks I may have some anxiety (because of the stillbirth) and just decide to have her taken out. My advice is just to read up on all the info you can so you can be prepared.

yes my dr knows we went over it togather and she said it should be no problem. the reason for my first c-section is because the cord was wrapped around his neck 2 times and they lost his heart beat several times.
