Hi Staci....yes that is the site. I KNOW that I need to stop going to those sites...but it's like a car wreck....lol....I can't help myself. I think my husband is going to disconnect the DSL if I don't stop....=) Anyway...good luck to you and your completely NORMAL hiccuping little baby!!

Leah- Ive been upset over that site all night. We should boycott it or something! Theyre insinuating EVERYTHING a pregnant woman feels is ABNORMAL! I am so infuriated. I am glad we are here to help eachother, since there are as*holes like that around trying to make us all have anxiety attacks! Sigh. Hugs! -Staci

http://www.missinggrace.org/indexprevention.html sorry, heres the correct link. If it wasnt for the loss this family had, I would contact them and tell them how disgusting they are to try to capitilize off this. Theyre soliciting donations everywhere on the site by using scare tactics, as you noticed. I feel bad sending them hate mail, though I am tempted to...

I heard about the cord being wrapped around their neck. It scared me to death. I couldn't remember where I heard it from when I was telling my husband, but everyone says its normal & that makes me feel so much better. She gets the hiccups at least once a day for a few moments.

I am 37 weeks, and my baby has the hiccups everyday. I read in my "What to expect when your expecting" book that frequent hiccups could be a sign that your baby has the umbilical cord around their neck, but it also said that there would also be a decrease in fetal movement. It freaked me out at first but then I talked to my ob/gyn and she said if he is still moving alot and he doesn't have the hiccups more than 4 times a day that last longer that 10 minutes, he was fine.

i'm 32 1/2 weeks, my daughter gets the hiccups everyday, my first daughter used to get the hiccups all the time as well...I just had a growth scan, and everything looked fine...no cord around her neck or anything...my dr told me there was nothing to worry about, and that often baby's get the hiccups b/c they are ingesting the fluid while practicing their breathing...

I'm pregnant with my first and I'm in my twenty sixth week...my little girl gets the hiccups quite often! And I mean quite often!! I thought at first that she was kicking, but then I knew it was different than a kick. I asked my mom about it(your mom is usually right and knows the answer to everything...) She said that it is perfectly normal! There is nothing wrong with a hiccup. We hiccup outside of the womb all the time...It is healthy and it means your baby is healthy. Hiccups are natural. If your baby is hiccuping, I would suggest laying down and watching your stomach...It is adorable and really fun to watch your stomach bounce up when the baby hiccups!!! The first time I saw it I was so giddy and happy! My little girl just stopped hiccuping right now...Feel free to talk to your Dr. about it if it makes you more comfortable, but it's normal.

My DD, starting around 30 weeks or so, would get the hiccups in utero several times a day lasting around 5 minutes or so. She was born perfectly fine. My doctor said this is a sign of a healthy baby with a mature digestive system. Already this LO is starting them up. It's precious.

I was in the labor and delivery ward the other day for fetal monitoring at an extremely respected hospital. The ultrasound showed my baby hiccupping and the doctors found it endearing, and by no means showed any concern for it. The ob. said it was due to swallowing amniotic fluid, that's all.
