Anyone have any tips that worked for turning a breech baby? My midwife offered the manual version but I declined. I felt it was too risky. This will be my last birth and I really want a VBAC.

Check out the website w w w dot spinningbabies dot com. I too am hoping to VBAC (this is my second baby) and although I am 32 weeks right now, my little one likes the breech position, much like her big sister. It is not impossible for the baby to flip after 36 weeks. If you have a chiropractor, I would ask him/her if they are familiar w/the Webster technique. I heard it does something to your hips to help the baby get in that position. Hope that helps.

My boy was breech for the longest time, he finally turned at 33-34 weeks, I just kept pushing on my belly. I don't know if that's what did it, but when he turned it felt like he was tearing my guts up. :) Sorry that probably wasn't very helpful.

Cody, I have a chiro I used back in September when I had sciatica. She took me in last Friday and I go again today. She made no promises but she's trying to manipulate more room for the baby to turn. Did you have a c-section the 1st time because she was breech? My first was not breech but never fully dropped so I had a c-section with her. Heaven, I have been trying to ma__sage her head down as well, lol

Yes, my first baby was breech. Unfortunately she was also stillborn due to the cord being wrapped around her neck 3 times. I was 40w and the doc tried to get me to try a v____al delivery, but I didn't want to do it considering the circ_mstances. It was much easier for me to just have a c-section. So I did and recovered very well. That was in August 2007. We're having another little girl though, so we're very excited. I go twice weekly for NST and once a week for an u/s. As of now she is in a transverse/footling breech position. Head is on the right, with her back at the top of my uterus, and b___t on the left with her feet tapping on my bladder and cervix. I'm hoping she'll slide into a head down position within the next week and stay there!

Cody, I am so saddened to read that. Please accept my sympathies. I wish you lots of luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

did your baby ever turn, or did you have a c-section?

The little bugger never turned so I had a c-section at 39 weeks. She was footling breech and that is the hardest type to turn on it's own. BUT, she was a healthy 8 pounds, 4 ounces and I am completely healed after just 4 weeks.
