Low Movement

I'm worried, normally my baby is very active at night and when I get up in the morning. I noticed this morning that I don't think I felt her move....I have eaten this morning and I have felt 3 small movements....but thats it! Should I be worried or am I being paranoid?

Don't worry, as your baby approaches its due date it is quite big and has much less room to move around. Also babies are like anything else, they have their ups and downs and days of activity and days of rest. Of course if you are really worried call your doc. But they say if you feel 10 movements in an entire hour, that is enough.

I had mornings where he did not move at all, and I freaked, and then he surprised me. As the above poster stated they tend to slow down as it becomes more crowded in there. I noticed my baby's movements were much less vigorous towards the end, although they could be rough. Anyway if your intuition tells you to get checked out in a little while if she is still not moving much or at all, then go for it.

It never hurts to go to L&D to get checked out. My doc instructed me to drink some really COLD water or juice and then lay on either side. If I don't get 4 movements in an hour to go to triage and have them check things out. Don't ignore your instincts. If you would feel better going to the hospital, please go.

Thanks, she started moving and I got my 10 kicks.....whew! I haven't been worried, but now that I am getting so close to my due date, every little thing is freaking me out.
