Hello ladies! I am 35 weeks and just stopped working 2 weeks ago. Since then I have slept about 8 hours a night (waking up often though) and napping about 2 hours a day. I have never slept so much and I feel very lazy and strange about it. I live in a very cold place so there are days at a time I only leave the house to bring my 2 little girls to the daycare. Anyone else sleeping so much!?! Oh, and my iron levels have always been normal. Thanks for any responses!

I've been sleeping pretty well so far although I get the hiccups sometimes. On the weekends, it's not unusual for me to sleep 9 hours at night and take a 2 hour nap. I also am not anemic but am always tired. I am thankful that I don't have any kids to take care of yet. I hope my next pregnancy won't be this tiring. (Good luck with that, I suppose!)

All I can say is...Make the most of it!! it is very, very normal to sleep this much in the last weeks before delivery. It is actually really good for you, so do it as much as you can.
I am close to 33 weeks (my 2nd) and if I have restless nights I do take naps when I can. believe me you will be so sleep deprived when the babe comes that you need all the rest you can get.

Only 3 hours a night! Wow. I also have a to be 2 and 4 year old. I think they have picked up on my restless sleeping patters because the last 3 weeks they both wake up between 3-5 am and want to do something, either pee, drink milk, draw or just make noise. They have always been "thru the night sleepers" from very early on, so this is a strange time. Well hopefully not much longer to go....wait who am I fooling, it will start all over with a new born!! Thanks for your responses

By the sound of things we must be lucky compared to others, i would be very similar 2 u i sleep about 8 hours at night (with going to the bathroom 3-5 times)and around 5 or 6 hours after waking up i need a nap 4 an hour or 2. i suppose whats the point in pushing yourself to stay awake iff your tierd once the baby comes along we wont get the chance to nap when we want so we better make the most of it now.
