Hello to all the May Mommies!!!
It feels so good to do the count down. I've been looking and checking, hoping and thinking some other MAY mommy will start a threat. But I am getting inpatient. I've been on my 3 trimester for good 2 weeks so here I am... I am 29 weeks now. So far so good. I gained 18 lbs by now. So not bad for a fourth pregnancy (I think). I heard that you gain more with each pregnancy, but it hasn't been true with me. Besides making myself sound so good. Lol
I feel so heavy now, and the BH slow me down too. My back is aches; especially after cleaning and cooking. The nights I can't forget, getting harder and harder on me now. My hubby is away at work (a trucker) so in the middle of the night I get up to find all my three children on my queen size bed with me. I'll tell you that makes it even more difficult. Well enough of ME. Now I want to hear of YOU :)

Hi, glad to see our month is representing! ha! I'm due May 26th, so I'll be one of the last to go. I will be 28 weeks this Tuesday so I figure I could come on over a few days early. I'm feeling pretty good, but feel like I've popped out in the last few days. This preganncy has been so much easier than my first. So far no heartburn, hip pains, leg aches, pressure, etc. KOW!!! Is anybody having any showers? I had a few w/ my first, and had a small one last week which I didn't expect to have. Very nice suprise. We got lots of diapers and such. We're not finding out the s_x, so we'll be set if it's a girl and scrambling for stuff if it's a boy. ha!

I'm a May mommy! I'm so glad I found this site! Its awesome... =) Well, this is my first baby. I'm due May 7th, and we're having a girl. So that makes me 30 weeks, 3 days! I'm having a shower this Saturday, the 7th, I'm super excited! Although excited for the shower, a LOT nervous for the labor. I'm on bed rest now for high blood pressure, and the last time I went to my OB, they found a trace of protien in my urine, aye... I'm scared preeclampsia will set in! As much as the hip pain, and swollen legs are getting old, I'd like to keep her cooking a while longer you know? I'd hate to have her stay in the hospital for a couple months because I had to deliver early. I feel like I popped just recently too Jessica! I just noticed today actually! Have you ladies picked out names? My little one will be Lucy Allyssa Sanchez. You all take care! And again, its great to be here. =)

Welcome JackienLucy! Congrats on your soon to be girl and such a pretty name! Girls are the best. :) My DD is 21 months and is a May 2007 baby, so they will be about 2 years apart. Bed Rest can suck, but it will all be worth it to keep the baby in a bit longer, like you mentioned. Best of luck to you. Names: If it's a boy Ronan Arthur and if it's a girl Sierra Faith.

TatiK, I meant to give you mad props for your great weight gain, or lack thereof :) I have gained about 21 lbs or so, which is much better than my first, where I was up about 35 or so lbs, by this stage in the game. Hang in there!! BH are finding me too and driving on bumpy roads kills me. Only 12-ish more weeks to go. One thing I've found is that it's hard having a 21 month old toddler when I'm this pregnant. She wants to crawl all over me and if I don't watch her, she'll run right into my tummy and give the baby a "kiss" haha

Yes, finally here! It seems so long to go, though. I have a friend who is being induced tomorrow, so it makes me feel like three months is an awfully long time.
I know what you mean, TatiK, about the backaches after cooking and cleaning. It's just too much standing. Grocery shopping really does me in, too. But things are going along pretty well for me overall.
I get to have a 3d ultrasound on Thursday, so here's hoping that we can find out the gender this time!

Hello to our new mommy JackienLucy0509 and welcome! and jessica72 thank you. I hope we all stay in the 30-35 lbs wieght gain in the end. With my last I was doing good until the 8th month. I didn't know, but my thyroid wasn't leveled so I went up 20lbs in two last months. I did have a surgery and now thank God my T3 and T4 are all leveled. My iron is on the low side, but that is nothing compare to the thyroid problem. For those that didn't know this is my fourth baby. Iam 25yrs old and we have two girls 6 and 5 a boy that is 3 and we are expecting another boy. Still thinking about a name. I have couple name in mind 1 Daniel 2 Maxim and 3 Julian. HELP ME OUT. Tell me what you think! What name would you pick.

Good morning ladies! I slept amazing last night, which is a rarity for me. Got up to pee at 4:00am and then instantly went back to sleep for another 3 hours.
LL, best of luck at the u/s today. I bet you're excited!
TatiK, they're all great, but my favorite is Daniel. How do they sound with your last name? I know the way it rolled off the tongue with our last name was a biggie for me. :)
Yeah, weight gain. I think I was the opposite. I put on weight very fast in the second tri and then it tapered in the third, but by then, I was up 40ish pounds. Overall I gained 50lbs with DD. It took a year to lose it, but it did eventually come off, so I'm not stressing too much if I gain more than 30. Hope not to, though. It wasn't fun surpa__sing DH's weight there in the end. :P

Wow you all sound so wonderful! I am new to this, but very glad I found this website. Props to your wieght gain as I have already gained 21 pounds! I am in week 29 and very excited. I am having a girl and can not wait to meet her. I too have trouble sleeping but have found that Tylenol PM really helps take the aches and pains away and I have woken up not groggy at all. My doctor said this was fine to take for those nights you just can't get to sleep! But of course, not every night. I also have a pregnancy worry which does not make much sense to me but hoping someone else has experienced it. In about month 3 I started worrying about everything that could possibly go wrong. Even the one's that don't make any sense. Take this for example... I have been with my fiance for over a year and a half. I have NEVER cheated. Never even thought about cheating but I think to myself sometimes, what if it is not his?!? Why do I think these thoughts?! There is no physical way this could be true. I know deep down he is the father of my baby girl... I just do not know where these thoughts come from!!! I think maybe it is my insecurities, worrying about all the things that could go wrong, fear of disappointment, etc. Can anyone else relate to this or help me with my thoughts?! Hoping it is hormones, etc. I love my fiance more than anything in the world. I just have to get these thoughts out of my head!!! Thanks in advance for ANY type of advice.

Hi, Jackie, May Mommy, and Missie! You're all ahead of me, as I'm only 27 and something weeks along. :-( I'm gonna be one of the last, if I go to my due date.
Jessica, no showers planned for me, that I know of. If it turns out I'm having a boy, maybe someone will get a bright idea and throw me one; but I don't mind either way. I had a huge shower with my first, and we hardly had to buy anything at all. Here we are, three years later, and we still haven't used up all the baby shampoo and soap we got. I think we still may have some dresses that haven't been worn yet, too. So if I have another girl, we're pretty well covered.
TatiK, I'm partial to the name Daniel, myself. It's my brother's name, so I'm a bit biased. After that, I like Julian most.
Missie, nesting already!!! You're so good. I think my short spurt of second trimester energy is waning. I'm lucky if I get the dishes done and the laundry washed, let alone any serious sorting or cleaning. Hopefully I'll find some energy sometime to sort through my baby clothes stash, and get rid of some of the excess toys we have.

Thanks for the welcome ladies! I slept good last night too, for the first night in a while! I'm getting over a bad ear infection, so it was hard to sleep for a few nights. =( In my first trimester, I lost a lot of weight, almost 30 pounds. I was constantly sick, and hardly had an appet_te! I gradually gained that weight back, so, if I started from my original weight, I've only gained about 7 pounds! He he... Sierra Faith is a very pretty name, Jessica! I like it! And TatiK, I'm a fan of Daniel too. That's what we were gonna name our boy if we had one. Llmommy, I know how you feel! I barely have enough energy to get out of bed and pee! Ha ha... I thank God that my hubby is a neat freak! He has to RE-do everything I clean anyway...so, I just leave it to him. =) I don't know how long I want to wait to have another baby... I absolutely LOVE kids, but being pregnant is just so hard! MayMommy, I think wierd like that too! Like, "what if the baby comes out looking NOTHING like either of us? What will my man think???" I think it IS just our insecurities. Us pregnant ladies are too much... ha ha! I hope you all have a good night's sleep, and don't get up more than twice to pee! Haha.

Welcome Missie! I'm doing the suprise thing too! Loving it! Do you have any feelings one way or the other? I think this little kicker is another girl, but everyone tells me otherwise.
May Mommy, I can so relate!! My husband practically forbade, forbid? me to stop googling stupid symptoms. I'd get myself so worked up about something I'd read. My doctor started asking me as soon as he'd walk in, Ok, how many questions today? haha But this time around, I'm doing much better. I think for the most part it's preparing you for a lifetime of looking after your kids and "worrying" about them.
Nesting: Still not there yet. I think I'm with some of you ladies in that I just don't have that surge of energy anymore. All I want to do when my toddler is napping is nap myself.
Tatik, I see what you mean about such similar names. I don't think it's strange to have your boy have a similar or the same name as his Dad, but he also might appreciate having his own unique name as well. GL!!
Well Jackie, I jinxed myself. I got up to pee 3X last night and can't go back to sleep now. There's a dose of TMI to start your day off, ladies. :) I'm taking my toddler to an indoor play gym today, just so she can burn off steam and I can sit down in the Mommy recliners they have there.

Thank you JackienLucy and Jessica for relating to my insecurities!! I guess it is just fear of disappointment. I am glad I am not the only one. I know that my fiance is the father, but my mind likes to think "what if"... I am not sure why. I too got up twice last night to pee. What a pain but we only have a few months left. My baby's name is going to be Nali May. Nali is pronounced like NAH sound rather than like a nail. Hard to explain...easier to say. What do you think of that? I think it is sweet. This is my first, maybe I will still change her name. Anyone else getting ready for a baby shower? Mine is the 15th of March and very excited!!

I like the name you've picked Mommy in May! Very feminine. My middle name is Jay and if we have a girl, it will be either Faith or Fay, so yeah, I'm partial to the -ay names. haha
Showers: I was not expecting to have one being that this is my second baby in two years, but I did receive a surprise one from my ex-coworkers, so that was sweet. My Mom and her friends want to have a meet and greet the baby after this one is born. I like the idea and really don't need or expect anything, just an excuse to get together and celebrate this child. But, you know how it is: People will bring things and I will be very grateful, esp if this is a boy, since we have no boy things. :) I bet you're excited about your shower! Not too far away!

My DH and I both think it's gonna be a boy. But we have a bet going. If it's a girl, he has to change diapers for a month, if it's a boy, I do. LOL since I have a feeling it's a boy, looks like I'm on diaper duty for a month LOL. But, whatever it is, I don't care, as long as she/he is healthy!

Mommy in May
My best friend in Michigan is coming down here April 1st and throwing me a baby shower. I know about it and helping plan it, is that weird? LOL.
