well ladies, i am super pumped!!! Tomorrow is my last day being pregnant! I have to be at the hospital at 6:30 in the mornin thursday and i have the baby at 8:30. today i cleaned the house really well, and made sure that everything had a place and was in it, so my husband wont make a huge mess while i am in the hospital lol. I am just excited that i am gonna have the baby here just in about a day! I am pretty much surviving on nothing but adrenaline now! good luck to everyone having babies before me, and hopefully everyone has theirs pretty soon. I am SO jealous of you ladies having your babies today or tomorrow. I am 40wks tomorrow & was hoping that seen as this baby is number 3 that he/she would have come by now, Oh well. Today at least has been good as far as the contractions go, but I now have sooooo much pressure down there that it feels like bubs is going to fall out, (I'm secretly hoping that is how fast the birth will go lol). Anyway goodluck to everyone about to have their baby & I look forward to your birth stories.

Well, I had my baby yesterday at 6:23 PM via c-section. I went into the doctor for some mild cramping...turns out I was in early labor(dilated to a 4 with a bulging sack of waters)...they sent me to the hospital to be put on pitocin and my water broken because the baby just wasn't thriving in those conditions anymore. Well, my doctor decided it was best for me to have a c-section, so I had her right away! She's 6 pounds 9 ounces 18 1/2 inches long and SUCH a doll! She b___stfeeds really well...and is calm and easy going! :)

misscrotts goodluck with the c-section, & yes I know what you mean about husbands lol. This being our 3rd, hubby is at least not at panic station all the time, but if anything it's annoying me how blasé he is being about everything.
Well ladies I am SOOO bummed at the moment as I am now officially past my due date :(
I saw the midwife yesterday & once again mentioned all the irregular painful contractions I had been waking up too & how they last for hours mostly minutes apart & then go away. All she could say about it was that with some women it's perfectly normal that the more babies you have the harder your body practises for the birth & I should be happy my body knows what it's doing. HOW does that help me? & I should be HAPPY? Come on I would be happier if the contractions had lead somewhere & the baby was here already lol.
One thing I am worried about though is that when she measured me I was only 35cm & considering I'm 40wks I should be closer to 40cm. She didn't seemed concerned as I have always measured slightly behind & had big healthy babies anyway, but measuring 5cm behind seems huge to me not slight. I have been taking regular pregnancy photos & don't look much different then my previous pregnancies, but as I measured 32cm at 33wks I can't help worry that something is wrong (like low amniotic fluid).

Hey girls! Congrats to everyone that has had their babies! My little Brady is almost 2 weeks already...crazy. misscrotts - I hope the c-sec went well! And, mrsvalenti - I love the name Maya...so cute :) E - before I delivered, I was measuring 4 weeks behind because Brady had dropped so low in my pelvis. Maybe the baby has just dropped to get ready to come :) Good luck to everyone left to deliver. I look forward to seeing everyone on the infant care thread.

so...as promised my birth story is as follows. I went in and got my iv and stuff put in, no big deal. I had a spinal for my pain and it was not as terrible as i feared i knew it wouldn't be bad, but it still scared me....the thougt and whatnot you know what i mean?? my hubby was super excited when the doc delivered our little girl. She was 6 lbs 4oz 19,5 inches long and she has just been the perfect little angel i expected....she is an amazing sleeper, a great b___stfeeder, and she's already got daddy wrapped around the finger lol. my b___sts are very sore as when she eats she does for just about an hour, sometimes longer, but then she doesn't wake up to eat much in between. hubby wants me to nurse until shes a month then i can put her on bottles he said. I have had painful cramps after the c section, but that was partially from the after effects and partially becuase they put me on pitocin!! that sucked, but it was to make my uterus shrink back down to size. I had her on thursday....its saturday and we came home mid morning. i am still hurting, and hubby is at work, wont get off until eleven, but when he's home he can help me out a lot. i just need rest now. we named her Layla Christine...i love it, isn't it funny how when ur gonna name your baby something u start listinin and then you hear others with the same name, other things u never heard before with that word in them...id never heard layla used outside of a song....Layla by eric clapton...buy i dunno it seemed to be everywhere after we decided on that name for her. well ladies i really need sleep i am in quite a bit of pain and hubby wnt be home for quite some time yet. hope everyone is doin ok, and hopefully all babies com e pretty quick for you ladies!! talk to you all later.
