Hey austynsmommy, I had to go for the long test too...happily the results came back normal! It actually wasn't that bad(perhaps because I had imagined the worst lol). I'm afraid of needles so being poked repeatedly wasn't fun - but it's totally doable! Good luck!

Well, I go for my long test tomorrow morning (the SECOND one). Hopefully I'll pa__s again. However, if the cutoff is 120 (which sounds right), I was at 163, so I might be out of luck.

Hi January Mamas! I have to do my glucose test one morning this week, and I am dreading it. I had a u/s yesterday and my litlle man was doing great. He is measuring 2 weeks ahead now and already weighs 2 lbs 10 oz! He is breech and I have to go back in 4 weeks to see if he moves head down. Little man steps on my bladder, so I make frequent trips to the loo. We have most of the items for the nursery (in boxes) and are going to start on putting it all together this weekend. I am SO excited! KIMMER--I am due Jan 17th (if they don't move up the date at my next appt), it is hard to believe we only have 3 more months. Hope everyone else is doing great.

Hi ladies how are we all? I have just gotten over the worst tummy bug ever. I was SO sick with vomiting & diarrhoea that I was terrified it would cause me to go into premature labour, I was throwing up at least once every hour for about 12hrs (sorry if tmi). Luckily all the re-hydration medicine & liquid that hubby made me have EVERY time I threw up finally helped, & the doctor didn't think it necessary for me to go to hospital, because I was finally able to hold down fluid. Thank goodness the kids only got it very mildly, cause I NEVER ever want them to go through that.

30 weeks on Sat! Due Jan 3d. Have a feeling he's coming early though, like Christmas-time. Haven't done the glucose test yet b/c doc's office wrote the wrong date range on my form - starting end of Oct - and have had scheduling conflicts since I found out the right range. Plus not looking forward to it so been procrastinating a bit - waiting for when the daddy can come with. Sleep is escaping me too, with the couch becoming a very good friend... pillows and the bed just don't cut it for some reason...! Haven't bought anything yet, but have been crib-shopping for ages!

Is anyone else measuring ahead? I just went to the OB last night, and I'm measuring 30 weeks and I'm only 28! Which means big baby and potential C-section which I do not want! I had toxemia with my 1st, so I could definitely get induced a couple weeks early. That's what I'm hoping for!

Hi ladies. I got my results back yesterday from my glucose test and they came out fine. No grestational diabetes. I'm glad your feeling better E586467. It is so hard being sick with kids plus being preggo. I go back to the doctor on monday. I am hoping to get another ultrasound before I have him. They can't tell if he's head down or not. Have a great day ladies.

Hello Ladies! I'm 28 weeks today and am officially in the 3rd trimester. I agree that it's gone by really quickly. My iron's a bit low so I've been taking a higher dose of supplements, which seem to help with my being tired. Good luck to those of you who are having your glucose test, or waiting for results. I had mine at 25 weeks, which seems really early compared to most of you. At my last appt. in the middle of September, I was measuring 1 week ahead, but at my appt. last week, I was measuring 1 week behind. Dr. wasn't concerned at all, and to be honest when I measured myself when I got home I was right on track. Does anyone know if these measurements depend depend on baby's position? I know it's only the difference of 1cm, which I suppose can be easy to miss the mark on. Anyway, good luck to you all!

baby2jan13 I honestly wouldn't worry too much about a few cm difference as it really IS NOT a true indicator of how big the baby will be. My cousin was told her baby was going to be HUGE because she was measuring quite a few weeks ahead, but she ended up having a 6lb 2oz girl. Me on the other hand seemed to always measure a week or two behind & my dd was 7lb 9oz & my ds was 9lb 3oz, so don't worry too much about the measurements it's just an indicator to let the docs know your baby is on track. So far I am measuring right on track, but I have a feeling it's going to be a boy so I'm bracing myself for another big one lol.

I PASSED MY GLUCOSE TEST! I am very happy! No gestational diabetes. The doctor said that he was convinced this time, and I won't have to take ANOTHER one. However... I gained 8 pounds in 10 days! EEK! He said that it's got to be mostly water retention, so now he's starting to worry that I'll get toxemia. Sheesh, can't anything be easy? Anyway, I'm really starting to feel huge these days. I find it hard to believe that I still have 10 weeks to go. I can't imagine that I can get a whole lot bigger!
