I have read several discussions on pooping during delivery... but what about peeing? If we are going to be in labor for hours and get an epidural which makes us numb and we are already peeing every 20 minutes... what happens during delivery?

When I was in labor with my daughter they put in a cathiter because I had an epidual and I was in labor for five hours. With my son I got an epidual and no cathiter. With my last son that was born on the 18th I had an epidual and a cathiter. I was in labor for 18 hours. I think it might depend on the hospital you deliver at. Good luck on your birth.

i didnt get a cath with my epidural. they said the epi relaxed my muscles so i couldnt pee. and i didnt poo either. i got the cath after though because i had so many st_tches i needed that first day to recover and stay in bed. i was in labor for 7 hours too.

I'm getting nervous. I have all these questions, but they always come to me after I see the doctor.
