Man, it's getting quiet in here as more and more of our Mommies are having babies and becoming too busy. :) I feel left out! I have roughly two weeks till my c-section and it seems like a year away!!
Kats, I agree with LL, those sound like very promising signs. Got your bag packed???
Ok, so I have planned my daughter's 2nd birthday party for the 15th, roughly 5 days before my c-section. Am I nuts??? I just want her to have her last birthday party all to herself and now that she kinda "gets" it, I don't want to skip it. It won't be huge, but just about 30 people, including adults and kids. I am in full b__wn type A planning mode, which will keep my mind off waiting. :) I just hope all this planning doesn't go down the drain when I have to call everyone and tell them, "you'll never guess what happened!!" :P
Night ladies! May you all have a restful, minimal aching and peeing night!! :)

Okay, here's the story of my little Joe.
I went to bed Friday night, planning for the next day. Grocery shopping and cleaning the house. At about 1:45 in the morning I woke up to go to the bathroom. I got up and thought I had already gone in the bed. My husband was in our daughter's room trying to get her to sleep. I got up, went to the bathroom, and really thought about what just happened. I walked around for a little bit when my husband asked me what was wrong. I told him, I thought my water broke. Then I had to change again. I knew my water broke then. So I called my parents at 2:30 am to take my daughter.
We got to the hospital at 3:00 am. Everyone kept asking me if I was okay. I wasn't having contractions yet. Got up to labor and delivery, where they confirmed that my water broke. About an hour and a half later, the contractions started. I got an epidural around 7:00 am.
My parents showed up with my daughter around 11:00 am, and she was not happy. The last time she saw me like that was after our car accident when I was taken away in an ambulance. That's when the fun started. The nurse comes in and said the baby's heart rate drops with every contraction, so I was on oxygen the rest of the time. Also with my water breaking, they had to put more back, because I wasn't dilating fast enough, I was also given pitocin to speed things up a bit.
At 12:40 the nurse comes in to check on me, and told me to start pushing. And at 12:58 pm Joseph Douglas was born. 5 pounds 11 ozs. 18 1/2 inches long.
I knew that was going to happen, because we made plans. I had no signs on Friday that I was going to go into labor. When Joe was 24 hours old, we came home. I had the choice to stay another day, but wanted to be home. I hate hospitals. My daughter is the best big sister anyone could hope to have. She is very helpful.
Well, that's my story. A very fast one. I thought my daughter was born in record time, but man, only 20 minutes of pushing. Even the hospital staff was amazed. I wish the rest of you good luck. I'll keep checking in with you guys every now and then.

Shea, sounds like a beautiful experience for you and little Joe. Congrats and thanks for sharing! How have the first few nights/days been?

Poor baby has his days and nights backwards. Thank God my mom comes over to help me out. Last night was fun. He had an upset stomach, and woke up every few hours. At some point, he woke up crying and then my daughter woke up crying. Both at the same time. The great thing is, is she doesn't feel left out. When my husband gets home he plays with our daughter. He's afraid to hold Joe.
It's all worth it.

Congrats Shea & Family. How exciting to have your lo here, happy, healthy & well!
I've tried to post several times using my mobile, but I get it all entered and can't get it to post. Not sure what's up with that, because I have been able to do so before in the past. :(
I've been feeling VERY VERY nauseous for 2 days straight. My stomach just keeps doing somersaults...never having gone on my own, I don't know if I have a bug, or if this is the start of something. I've been using the bathroom a lot too. I really get an upset stomach with every EVERYTHING I try to eat. If anyone has had this experience, and has some advice I'd appreciate it. I've had to lay down after lunch 2 days in a row, so I didn't lose it.
Hope everyone's doing well. I see the doc on Thursday, so I will know more about the "plan" for me. They don't want me going even a day over because of the increased risk of stillborn, but I really want this lo to have every chance of coming on her own.
Take care all, you're in my thoughts, even when I'm not posting! A

Shea ~ congratulations! Sounds like a good experience overall!
Baby makes 7 -- why are they afraid of a still born?
I can not wait to meet my daughter. I have had a few contractions and loose stools but other than that... no labor symptoms! I am ready to be done!
I wish I had something to look forward to like an inducing date but I just have no idea when she is coming!
I have tried spicy food, hope to have s_x again tonight and will walk a bit tomorrow. I am finally done with work so now I can start focusing on getting this little lady out!
What do babies do before labor in the womb? Anyone know? Are they calm or active or don't you notice?? Just curious.
Hubby has dinner ready now ~~
Here's to more babies arriving happy and healthy~

The only stated reason for being concerned about still birth is my age. Apparently my group has adopted a policy of not letting any woman over the age of 40 go even a day beyond her stated due date. There was a study that indicated that the risk of still birth is greatly increased at this point.
I've got dance recitals and all sorts of things going on right now. I'm going to beg that they let me go to May 17th....keep your fingers crossed that they will be compliant!
That is, provided I'm not getting ready to go on my own! I've felt just horrible for 3 days running. Terrible nausea, and tightness in my belly. I see the doctor tomorrow...hopefully I'll have an update. This little one may not wait for the dance performances! :)

Is being nauseated some sort of sign? That along with the new heartburn of the last 2 days is driving me insane! It's like the first trimester all over again except now I'm huge...grrr... I've never had hurtburn or so much nausea before...

I'm thinking it is...I've felt just HORRIBLE for going on 3 days now.
Let's do this at the same time Kats! :) I'm definitely having some contractions this morning.

I was down to about 11 minutes apart last night, then nothing this morning... getting discouraging...

That is discouraging. I haven't had anything that's been consistent. :(
I'm going to make some raspberry leaf tea! ;)
Keep us posted. Today was my grandmother's birthday...that would be kind of neat to have the baby today!

I've been drinking that like it's going out of style! Well, this weekend is full moon if that helps any...

I am going to go get some raspberry leaf tea today. My sister swears that is what brought on her first born. And I bet, we could make it cold if you ladies live in a hot area!!

Add some juicy, cold pineapple rings to that cup of raspberry tea leaf and see if that doesn't work! :) Cold pineapple in this heat sounds gooood. It's going to be 98 today!! Ugh, I was hoping this LO would come before the heatwave.

I found it kind of difficult to find. I found lots of "red raspberry" tea, but that was with rosehips etc. I had to look in the specialty area of the store where they have all the "granola"/organic type foods. I think it was also called "PMS support" tea.
Hmmm ... full moon huh? But waiting until the weekend...YIKES! I didn't have any morning sickness, so I was spoiled and the nausea and indigestion are really bringing me down. (I know...I shouldn't whine!)
I've forgotten everyone's due dates.... mines 5/14.
