Welcome back, TatiK! It's been a while since we heard from you. Overdue? That's no fun. How are you feeling?

Hey ladies. Those that are overdue and done, I know you all will want to throw something at the screen coming from someone who's had her baby, but hang in there and enjoy the last few days. I am soooo tired!! Baby is up every 2 hours feeding and I had almost forgotten these trying early days. Hubby can only do so much, obviously. Alas, such is the price of nursing. Totally worth it, but exhausting.
Sinus infection still lingering so that's not helping things.
EEK...I'm so excited for the next couple of days and your new babies. Any progress since the last post?? ha! I'm an example of how lighting fast things can turn around. So just be ready :P
Tatik, welcome back. Very pretty profile pic.

Well I have def. been nesting a lot today. I have cleaned the whole house up and down and can not seem to stop....Went out to lunch with a girlfriend and when I got home I had a little bit of yellowish color discharge in my panties.
It could be remains from hubby from last night but I am not too sure about the color part?? Anyone else have this?
I have not pa__sed any kind of mucus plug or had a bloody show yet... I am just not sure.
Contractions are a bit stronger today but they come and go... nothing consistent. Just hoping this is all in preparation for birth?! I had a very loose stool this morning as well. Sorry ladies for all the gross visuals!!!
Anyone have any thoughts?!

At least you've got some discharge, MIM. I've got practically nothing. My doctor said I might have some spotting after she stripped the membranes, but. . . nothing. Is it wrong to be envious of discharge? How weird can I get? :-)
I'm still having scattered contractions. Some are painful, some aren't. But they always die out. I've got the loose stools, too.
I spent the afternoon sewing dresses for my girls. It's one of the last things on my list of stuff I'd like to get done before Baby arrives. Once my list is gone, I don't know what I'll do with myself!
And I'm sure you'll all be impressed with my great achievement when I tell you that I waxed my legs yesterday! Good thing no one could see me, because I'm sure it didn't look too graceful. But I managed it somehow. So no more worrying about hairy legs until after the baby is born. Woo-Hoo!
I can't wait to hear something from BabyMakes7. And what about Jac? You there somewhere, or did you have your baby?

Hello! I was on this site 2 years ago for my 1st and I am currently 40 weeks +1 day. UGH! I have been following this forum for the past few weeks, just never posted anything. I to have tried EVERYTHING! I had my membranes swept on Tuesday, and still nothing. It worked within 12 hours for my 1st. I have eaten spicy food, I walk 2 miles every day, lots of s_x, but nothing. On Tuesday I was 2cm and 50% effaced. If no baby by Monday. I will be induced Tuesday morning, which I REALLY hope that I go into labor before having to be induced!!!!!

llmommy ~ you are not crazy for being envious. I know the feeling but nothing has happened since that one discharge episode. Lots of contractions but nothing that lasts! UGH! I hear yah on not knowing what to do with yourself after the list is done. I am now experiencing that. I have been off of work for almost 3 weeks and I am slowly running out of things to do. The house is nice and clean!
I was going to go for a long walk with the dog today but it is supposed to get up to 90 degrees and I don't want to walk my fat b___t around in that kind of heat. Same with cleaning my car, it needs to be done but who wants to be out in that heat? So far we are just sitting inside in the cool house.
Good job on waxing your legs!! Props! I have just been continuing to shave. Never got into waxing. It would have been a good idea so I did not have to shave every other day when I am the size of a whale!
Amanda ~ yes, welcome to the trying everything group. LOL. We seem to all be in the same boat. If my baby is not here by next week, they will induce me as well and I really just want her to come on her own!!! Good for you for walking 2 miles everyday! Wow. That is great for being 9 months pregnant!
Hopefully one of us can get the ball rolling for the others left... Hang in there ladies!!!

Welcome, Amanda! I hope you get some action going soon. The idea of going overdue isn't so bad for me, (though I have a week before I'm overdue) but the pressure to be induced scares me. That's mostly why I want to get this baby out sooner than later.
MIM, any progress? Hubby and I DTD last night, and this morning I woke up feeling all crampy and having some contractions. They faded out, of course. But I had snotty stuff when I went to the bathroom, and there was this itty bitty teensy streak of blood. Is it all from the s_x, or is it something more exciting? Hm. . .
People have started checking up on me now. Lame phone calls, little notes and emails. . . "Just want to see how you're doing!" As if I wouldn't tell them if I was in labor!
Still no word from Jac?

Good to hear you had some sort of discharge! That is more action than I have had. I bet it was a combination of s_x and the "bloody show" they speak of? I am not too sure...
My doctor told me that if my little one is not here by next Wednesday then they will induce me. I like to know that there is a deadline and the end is near but I would also really like her to come on her own... The non-stress test was fine so they are leaving her in there as long as they can!! UGH! But I would rather that then be induced. I have had 2 friends be induced recently and by the sounds of things, it is not fun.
Yeah, everyone is checking in on me as well. Its rediculous because all the people checking in all talk to each other and we live in such a small town, everyone would know at the same time. But I guess it is the thought that counts.
My belly seems to be even lower if that is possible?

Hi ladies,
So, Jonas Clarence was born on Tuesday, May 19th at 10:13 p.m. He was one hour and forty-seven minutes ealrlier than his estimated due date!
My delivery was very dramatic! I started experiencing regular contractions around 3:30 p.m. but a__sumed it they were false labor pains, just like every other time. After regular, stronger contractions that were four minutes apart for one and half hour, we went to the hosp. Despite my painful contractions, the doctor sent me home because I was only three cm. dilated, saying not to expect to have to come in for another 24 hours or so.
As we were being discharged, my contractions were getting worse and worse, but I was still sent home despite the fact I couldn't talk or walk throuhg them. I don't think anyone took me seriously because I was remaining so calm. When we got home, around 7:15-7:30 p.m.,things escalated to the point where I thought I wasn't going to make it through the process. I was in my room just trying every position I could to deal with the pain. Husband wouldn't take me in because he thought we'd be sent home.
Around 9:30 p.m. my water broke, husband didn't believe me due to a previous water breaking false alarm, but then it gushed out again right in front of him. Being completely naked, I threw on a white, terry-cloth bathing suit cover and headed to the hosp. Immediately I was taken to the examination room because of not only my obvious discomfort, but also the mess on my dress- oh, can I mention that since I go to a Center City, Philadelphia Hosp., that multiple people saw not only this same mess as I was getting out of the car, but also me pee myself on the street.
As the doctor was examining me, I asked for painkillers, when she informed me that it wasn't possible because I was 10 cm. dilated and going to have my baby at that point. Jonas came into this world 17 minutes after I arrived at the hospital! My entire labor process was unbelievable short!
The past few days I have learned a lot, and yesterday I had many tears, feeling like a b___stfeeding failure. After I spoke with a lacatatcion consultant, she said I was actually doing well and made me feel confident. Today is much better! I b___stfeed most feedings, and then give him expressed b___stmilk in a bottle several times just to make sure he is getting enough (he lost almost 6 ozs. between Weds. discharge and yesterday's ped. appoinment.so I have to make sure he doesn't loose too much more- hense the failure tears). I was told though, that this experience with b___stfed babies is common...
I never could imagine loving anyone or anything like the love I have for my son, and find myself being amazed and falling in love with my husband all over again.
So exciting! Where are all the other babies?

What a story! How exciting. Another quick birth. And you did it all without any drugs, too!
I can't believe your doctor told you to expect to wait another 24 hours before coming in, when you were already having strong consistent contractions, and dilated to 3. That's crazy!
I struggled with b___stfeeding a bit at first. My daughter wasn't latching on all that well, but how was I supposed to know? I'd never done it before. She was very sleepy, too, so it was hard to get her through a feeding before she fell asleep. My nipples got so sore, they had blisters. But then we got the hang of things, and it was great after that. My second daughter was a pro at nursing, and of course I was better at it then, too.
Still no word from BabyMakes7. I wonder how things went for her.

I delvered Dylan Elijah on May 22nd at 10:02pm! He weighed in at 9 lbs. 5oz. and 22 inches long. My labor was in labor for about 8 hours (4 of it being intense) and 6 pushes (about 10 min) and he was out! I was scheduled for an induction on May 26th...so glad Dylan came when he did! Good luck to all the other mommies waiting for their little ones! They will be here soon!

YES! Another averted induction! I love to hear these stories. :-)
It sounds like you had a pretty good labor, and a big boy, too! Congratulations!
Hubby told me today that he was going to "make the baby be born." I didn't have too much faith in that, but I figured if he was willing to DTD, I might as well take advantage of the opportunity. So that was 3:30 this afternoon. He threw in some nipple stim for good measure. here I am, four hours later, with contractions four or five minutes apart. I wonder if they'll stick. They hurt more than the ones I've been having recently, and they're much more consistent.
Nothing to do now but wait and see. Maybe I'll do some tidying up just in case.
