Still here. . . It was late, and DH and I were getting tired, so we decided to go to bed and get what sleep we could. Contractions continued through the night, but farther apart. They did increase in intensity, though. They are quite painful now. Now that I'm up and about, hopefully things will get moving a bit.

Jac and Amanda, congrats hugely!!! Jac, your labor sounds very similar to mine, except that I didn't have the long drawn out contractions up to the point that my water broke. My hats off to you for dealing with all that discomfort. Welcome Jonas! Great name!
Sounds like the ball is rolling now. It won't be long for the rest of you girls!
We haven't heard from Andrea in awhile (BabyMakes7) Hope all is ok.
Jac, glad the b___stfeeding is settling in. :) It gets so much easier after a while.
Sierra is doing wonderful nursing. My only issue is that she has her nights and days mixed up. She is wide awake from midnight till about 3:00am and wants to snack on/off througout that time. So we're working on trying to keep her awake during the day more. Otherwise, as sleep deprived as we all are, I am so in love with my new little girl. DH has been a wonderful help with my toddler and he goes back to work tomorrow! Eek!
Thinking about all of you. :)

Hello everyone, I'm happy to say, that Melina Despina finally was welcomed into this world on Wed, May 20, at 1:36 pm. She weighed 7lbs 6oz, was 20.5" long and was just perfect.
The whole induction thing turned out to be arduous. They tried the cervix ripening on Monday night, but nothing happened. Then we had the great idea to try a different drug cytotec on Tuesday all day. That drug did get me to 2cm. I had thought that we'd go straight into the pitocin induction after the cytotec, but the on call doctor had something else in mind. She let the contractions stop (after over 12 hours) and had me "rest" that night and began pitocin in the morning. I was annoyed...I was ready to go Tuesday night, but it all turned out great.
They broke my water at 8, I got my epidural around 11:30, but it was not in the right place, so the anesthesiologist had to come back and replace it. Once it was in the right place, things zoomed. I went from 4 cm to 9 cm in about 30 minutes! I felt a pop and new it was time!
I'm sorry I haven't posted sooner, but I haven't been feeling well. Went back to the ER Sunday, was diagnosed with "indeterminate abdominable pain" translate as a waste of 6 hours in the ER. When I got home and read the ultrasound report I learned that I have an ovarian cyst...not sure if that's what's caused my pain on Sunday, or if I'm battling an infection but its just too soon to tell...at any rate, I'm feeling much better today.
Baby is fussy...like my first, but I feel better equipped to deal with it. She's so sweet, it's hard to be upset about the fussiness. Each time she pa__ses gas, it causes her a lot of pain. A friend had shared the secret of "baby's Bliss"/gripe water with me...it seems to really relieve her fussiness.
I pray things are going well for each of you. Congrats to all the new moms! When I have a little more time, I'll catch up and read all your posts!
Hugs to each of you...especially those of you who are still waiting! A

Wow, everyone is having babies. Congrats everyone.
Joe is three weeks old and doing great. Night seems to be the time where he cries his little head off. We think he might have a touch of colic. I'll find out at his one month appt. I use the Swaddle Me and I love it. I used it with my daughter. And he sleeps through the night when I put it on him.
My daughter seems to be doing okay with him. She has been very helpful, wanting to feed him, and try to change him, although that is a little difficult to do when he can pee on you. We get in trouble when we call him Joseph. She tells us his name is Joe.
Now that everyone is having their babies, how are we going to keep in touch with each other?
Have a good day. I hope the rest of the babies come soon and safely.

Congratulations, Andrea! I hope your pain goes away completely and turns out to be nothing serious.
I wanted to let everyone know that Lily Anne was born Monday, the 25th, at 8:27 pm. She weighed 7 lbs, 12 oz, and was 20.5 inches long.
The contractions I was having Sunday and Monday became increasingly painful, to the point where they felt like hard labor in intensity. The only thing was that they weren't close together enough for me to feel like I should go to the hospital. They'd be ten minutes apart for a while, seven for a while, nine for a while, even down to five minutes apart. When they got that close, I started thinking this must really be it. Then I sat down to watch a movie with my husband, and they stopped suddenly. Completely gone. It was so strange. They started again a while after the movie was over, but they were still fairly far apart. Finally, around 4:30 in the afternoon on Monday, they were starting to be about five minutes apart. I was sitting on the bed, just pa__sing the time, and I decided to get up and have a snack. That's when things suddenly took off. The contractions started coming closer together. My husband watched me through a few, and then said he thought it was time to go. He was right. We got to the hospital at about 6 pm, and I was 4.5 cm dilated, and 90 percent effaced. When they checked me an hour later, I was dilated to 8. I was very much surprised, because it hadn't been all that bad. Most of the contractions weren't even worse than some of the ones I'd been having at home. The doctor broke my water at 9 cm, and a few contractions later, it was time to push. Three contractions later, she was out. I was so happy to see her, but mostly just glad it was over with. I mean, "active labor" was only two and a half hours, but if I count from when the contractions first started, labor was 28 hours!
Lily is perfectly healthy, and so am I. I had no tearing or st_tches. My main complaint is the afterpains, which can be pretty nasty.
I should get some sleep now, while Lily is napping.

Big, Huge, Gynormous Hugs and Congrats to Andrea and Jennifer on the arrivals of Melina and Lily. Yay two more for Team Girl!! ;) Well done ladies! and I love the names by the way.
Andrea, sorry to hear about the abdominal pain, but you sound like you have a great att_tude about it. How is it like having 5 little ones now? Oh and I love Baby bliss. I alternate that with Mylicon and it seems to keep baby happy during those ga__sy episodes.
Shea, Sierra was going through that mix up of nights/days as well, but I realized that during her 3am feeding, I was turning on the TV and maybe that was making her think it was time to be up, so I tried keeping the lights low and not talking to her while I nursed her, etc. So far so good.
Jenn, sounds like a smooth easy labor! That's awesome that you got to labor at home mostly. It seems that is the key to a good labor at the hospital.
Well, just wanted to pop in and wish all the new Moms much love. So who's left? MIM?
Also post pics when you can on our board on Facebook.
Well, baby is done with the midnight oil feeding, so time to hit the sack again.
Loves!

Also, I just ordered my double stroller from Albeebaby dot com. It's a Joovy caboose tandem sit and stand, so my toddler can stand when she wants. She's outgrowing a stroller very quickly, or at least she thinks she is. 129 bucks, no shipping/tax. Not too bad. It's bright, ladybug red, but that's ok. I love a good deal.
Oh and I just had to throw in that I scored a sweet deal on craigslist for a new diaper bag from Beijos. :P It's cute because it looks more like a purse I can throw on when I just need to run to the store, etc. Don't ask me how many diaper bags that makes, lol...but it really is a cute bag and was brand new. The lady never used it. I am a sucker for purses, so it figures this would be my weakness too. Which made me want to ask you all, what kinds of things do you tend to spend more money on when it comes to the baby? Clothes, diapers, toys. Thought this could be interesting. Maybe we can get some tips. Do any of you shop at consignment stores? Have favorite baby store websites?

I hear you on the diaper bags, Jessica: the hospital gives us one every time we have a baby, plus there's the one we got as a gift, plus the one the ultrasound place gave us. . . Maybe we can use them as duffle bags for the girls as they get older?
No news from MIM for a while. . . Maybe she's had her baby?
Lily is a pretty well behaved little baby so far. We struggled for a few days, because she was a bit jaundiced. It made her very sleepy and hard to feed. But she's starting to be much more alert, so I think we're over the worst of it. So that means more fussing as she is awake more. But I'd far rather have a fussy healthy baby than a "good" jaundiced one!
My older girls adore their baby sister. I have to watch my second daughter like a hawk, because she thinks Lily is some kind of really cool dolly.
Did I mention that the hospital lifted the swine flu restrictions? That meant that not only did my girls get to visit their sister in the hospital, but my oldest actually got to be there for the birth!

Jenn, that is so cool that your daughters got to share this experience with you. I bet your oldest was so proud.
MIM, we need an update! :)
Well, I had a nice afternoon. DH watched my toddler while I went for a pedi and then I hit Babies R US to return some stuff and I found myself buying two cute little sleepers for Sierra. Carters knows a Mom's weakness! ha! I have so many clothes left over from Brooke, but I thought Sierra deserved a few new things.
Have a great weekend, ladies!

It's amazing, we were all talking about having our babies, and now we have our babies.
Joe is sleeping. God bless morning naps. My husband finally learned to help me out. He cooks, cleans, and helps with our daughter. He just doesn't help with Joe because he's so small. He won't change him anymore because he pees on him every time. All and all every thing seems perfect. Life seems to be complete.
Jessica, I was wondering about the facebook page. I have no idea how to do anything on the computer, except type in the address in the space.
:) I just learned how to put pictures on the computer.
Hope the mommies and babies are doing great. Hugs to the newest mommies.

Shea, glad you're getting some breaks. Sierra is going through that 3 week growth spurt. She will nurse on one side for about 10 mintues, pa__s out, then be up in a matter of 30 minutes for another top off. This can go on for 4 to 5 hours straight. Ahhh!!!! I can't complain though, she gave me about 5 hours of sleep last night.
Shea, as for the facebook page. Type in triplew dot facebook dot com at the top. Then register for an account (a__suming you don't have one) It's pretty step by step. Then once you have an account, log in and in the top window, type May Mommies 2009 and it should take you to our page where you just register and then I'll approve it. Try it and let me know. Truth be told, our facebook page has been pretty quiet, but once we all get settled, maybe we can use it to post some more pics. Once we hear from MIM, we can move over to Infant care on this forum if y'all want.

Hey ladies...sorry to have not checked in. I have thought of all of you and prayed for safe deliveries!
Happy to report my little one was born on May 25, 2009 at 7:55 p.m. 7 pounds 12 oz. and 20 inches long. Beautiful baby. She is just perfect.
Long labor. Went in, was in 7 hours of labor and was still only 2 centimeters after 7 hours. The doctor did a check and found that the baby had pooped. At that point they did an emergency c-section.
They got her out safely and found that my uterus was shaped like a peanut because of a band of muscle around the middle, so I never would have dilated more and the baby never would have come naturally. She was stuck.
That is to sum up a really long story! Never had drugs because they were afraid it would stop the dilation... that never happened!!!
I am just so thankful that she is here safely. Have just been adjusting to life in the fast lane. Suffering from a bit of depression...anyone else???
Hope everyone is well. Take care of yourselves and the babes!!!

Congrats, MIM! I hope you're recovering well from your c-section. Your baby was the same size as mine!
I've got a touch of the blues, too. Some days I cry over little things; others I'm just kind of blank. Nothing too alarming. Part of it is that I feel like I'm not getting enough help. I could ask my in-laws to lend a hand, but in a way, having them come and help is more trouble than just taking care of things myself. Still, things are going ok overall.

Good to hear that things are good with everyone else.
I know what you mean about the in-laws llmommy...seems to be maybe more work to get everything set for them then to just take care of the little one ourselves.
How is everyones babies sleeping??
