hmmm. I didn't think about taking Infant CPR. I know my hubby is but that is for work. Maybe I will look into it. I have prenatal cla__s at the end of August. So here is hoping I can make it. As I will be about 36 weeks then. Yikes! We can also go to the the bank and set up an appointment to meet with the person there. Otherwise we can call the fire hall or police station to go and get a lesson as well. As for the glucose test, I ate right before I went (the first one) but I didn't have anything sugery the night before and had raisin bran in the morning and yogurt and granola before I went. I pa__sed. I am sorry that you have to do it again Munch. That sucks. Well I have to work today and hopefully not tomorrow. There is a girl we are letting go where I work so I don't know how they are going to give me the time off I was needing (tuesday) and I might be working tomorrow now. But at least I will have monday off as it is a Stat holiday. So DH and I were planning on going up to visit some friends and do some shopping in a near by city that has more options than the Walmart here. So we will see when I get to work today what I am working. It makes me nervous. I am planning a "Natural" birth. By natural I mean v____al. I am not opposed to pain medication, though I would prefer to not have an epidural. I will try anything else first. I want to be as mobile as possible. Walking is supposed to be good when you are in labour and to prevent some issues that can arise. Jacob and I are talking about our/my birth plan. So we will see in the end what happens. I have a little less than 9 weeks to think about this and that is if I go to 40 weeks. 7 weeks from now I will be term. Well I should eat some breakfast and get going on some housework as it is going to be a scorcher again today.

Bumblebee - July 31

Hi ladies ~ Yea, so happy to be in the third tri!! :) Congrats to us all.. I am also planning and doing some cla__ses in prep for natural and hopefully drug free labor and birth. Got a doula now and she is also trained in hypnobirthing and will train me in that so I am more relaxed. Starting the birthing cla__ses also this weekend - I heard they are good, worth it - to control breathing, know which breath to use to help at each phase, etc... so, we'll see. Nursery room is a total mess. In process of trying to clean stuff out of there, I managed to get everything on the floor and it is all just going real slow! :( We also got a ba__sinet, but still in box. Still thinking if we need that -- or if we can just use a crib and have a inclined pad with sides inside the crib for the first month or two. Dunno... Doing the registry was/is a big job! whew! Reading all the info / reviews / deciding... Anyway, got thru most of it. I think. I started aqua aerobics and loving that. And prenatal yoga. And continuing with acupuncture. I did explore chiropractor specializing in Webster technique... cuz I was told two weeks ago that baby is totally breached position and webster tech is supposed to help baby reposition. But then I also heard this is too early to worry about , since baby will keep moving / rotating, etc. So , am holding off until week 36. Anyone else know baby position yet? Right now I am at 30 weeks, and 31 in two days. Well, lots to do. I'll go clean up the Nursery room Floor... :) Oh, and not leaking too much yet. But am experiencing heartburn, get real thirsty at times, a few times calf spasms... and have to take extra iron due to low.. so, maybe that is also helping make constipation worse. The worst - and anyone else or any suggestions? - is the hemorrhoids. ugh. I tried prep H, and some other natural oils for preg hem's, but so far nothing works. At least it is not gettin worse. :) Ok, so much for all the fun details. By the way --- eat protein before the Glucose test. That's what my nurse told me. Not carbs, not sugar. chow..

Dicegirl15 - July 31

Bumblebee- I am 31 weeks and a little over two weeks ago my midwife told me my baby was head down. I had another appointment today...since I am going every two weeks now...and he is still head down. She told me it is unlikely he will switch positions now, I hope not! I hope your little one decides to go head down and be cooperative!! I have had HORRIBLE hip pain on my right side all day. It started early in the day. It was so bad this afternoon then when I got out of bed after my nap, I couldn't put any weight on it. It was so scary, my body just fell right back onto the bed...it hurts so bad that I find myself swearing as I switch positions or walk...holy cow! I am hoping it gets better seeing as how my husband is taking me to Maine tomorrow for our "before the two of us become three" vacation. I am sure things will be fine, but it is annoying. I learned today at the midwives that I have lost a couple of pounds since my last visit! NOT GOOD!! It turns out I am not eating enough, so I need to be eating more...weird how that is only good during pregnancy. I need to eat more veggies and more calories. She told me that so far I have only gained somewhere around 7 pounds where as most women would have gained around 15. This is something I will ONLY say during pregnancy...I hope I can gain more weight LOL! Something that I loved at the midwives today was after she told me his position, she found where his foot was. While she had the doppler listening to his heart rate, she pushed on where his foot was. She said that it should make his heart rate go up, and it did...it was so cool! She would push on his foot, his heart rate would go up, she stopped, and it would come back down! It was funny, she said we need to start baby proofing our house because he is hyper in there LOL! Well, I hope all is going well with everyone else and their little ones. Only a little more than 8 weeks left! Crazy, but I can't wait to meet this little guy. He moves like crazy, I LOVE IT!

melay86 - August 1

Hey all! Good to hear everyone seems to be doing well...we're getting close, aren't we? :) I've also had a very easy pregnancy...just daily heartburn (normally helped by a nightly gla__s of chocolate milk :) ) and just within the last 2-3 days I've been waking up with hip pain. I think it's just because I don't move in my sleep and lying in the same position for 3-4 hours is just too much pressure on my hip due to how heavy my stomach has gotten! It hasn't kept me from sleeping tho, so I'm thankful for that :) I've been seeing the doctor every 2 weeks since the start of the 3rd tri...I love it! It's the only time in my life that I've looked forward to doctor's appts! Just being able to hear the lil' one's heartbeat is such a joy! Just this week I started noticing the baby rolling more than kicking...he still kicks, but now I can feel his whole body rolling around in there! DH and I will follow his head with our hands as it moves all over the place...it's so cool! We definitely have an active one...sometimes I wonder if he ever sleeps!

Dicegirl15 - August 1

Ah, the hip pain. I wonder what is going on with mine. It is hard to describe, but it almost feels like it is a nerve being pinched or something instead of my hips spreading. If it is still this bad on Monday, I am going to call my midwife and ask what's up with this! Besides this horrible pain, my pregnancy has been easy as well. I am so happy for that!! I too love having my appointments every two weeks. It just barely started for me, but to me it means I am almost there, which I guess I am with just a little more than 8 weeks until my due date! I love that now the appointments are actually in the foreseeable future as with before it felt like it took forever until my next one. Isn't it funny how we all LOVE chocolate milk? It's pretty much my only craving apart from Friendly's coffee ice cream. Which reminds me I ran out today and must make a trip to the grocery store LOL! I wonder... there must be something in chocolate milk that we need that makes us all want it so badly. Calcium, Vitamin D...dunno. Oh well, I love it! I hope all of our pregnancies keep going smoothly. I always look forward to hearing from all of you!

les706 - August 3

Well ladies, unfortunately my pregnancy isn't going so smooth. Thursday marks two weeks since I started bedrest. My last ultrasound showed my cervix still at 1.2cm in length, but getting shorter with pressure. Also, I am funneling close to 2 cm. My docs just say there is nothing they can do. So I just try to rest as much as possible. Just been watching horrible daytime tv. It's scary to think he can come at any time...especially because we don't really have ANYTHING yet. My shower is September 20th. I just ordered the furniture which will be delivered this week so at least he'll have somewhere to sleep lol. Just nothing else. I have also been having the daily heartburn/indigestion. I have had heartburn off and on during this pregnancy, and Tums never helped. So I switched to Pepcid and that was working until recently. Now that wears off after like 10 minutes. I haven't had the hip pain you guys are describing, but maybe that's because I am unable to walk around. I did my glucose test last Thursday but I don't know the results yet. My doc didn't tell me to fast before, but I read that a lot of women that don't fast end up failing and having to do the 3 hour test, so I just fasted anyway. I didn't realize you had to chug that stuff in 5 minutes! It didn't taste THAT bad, but chugging it was gross. I am 27 weeks 3 days today. I see my OB on Wednesday and get my last ultrasound on Thursday (#17). Well I guess that's it for me. Take care ladies!

munchmom04 - August 3

Hey ladies, how are you all doing? Well here is my update. I am 27 weeks and 5days. I am doing well. I got the call from my nurse this morning and she said that I PASSED the 3 hr glucose test. WOW I am so glad that that is over. I go to see the doc every two weeks now, I was wondering if we get another ultrasound beofre we deliver? Does anyone have their bags packed for the hospital yet? Les~~ ohh pooh, I know how you feel being on bed rest like you are. Dicegirl15~~ how long have you been having apts every two weeks? Wow you have only like 8 weeks are you getting nervous? melay86 ~~ I so understand your nightly galss of chocolate milk. I do the same I get up in the middle of the night and get my gla__s. I also have one before I go to sleep.

Samara - August 4

Hello ladies! So I went to get my glucose test yesterday, wonder when I'll hear the results. Anyway, we basically have everything we need to babys arrival.. I think/hope. I got the kick count test paperwork yesterday. Do all of you feel the baby kick/ move 10 times an hour? I don't think I do, maybe I just don't notice. Also got a sheet about pre-term labor. About a week or 2 ago I had such bad what I thought was trapped gas or food poisoning and threw up most of the night. I was after the Dr. after that and forgot to mention it. Do you think I should bring it up next time? I don't think it was labor, it was like a constant pain and was gone the next day

Dicegirl15 - August 4

munchmom04- I have only had one appointment since I found out I would be having them every two weeks. My next one is August 11th. I am having another ultrasound that same say. It will be my second one, but I am not sure that everyone gets another one before they deliver. And yes, I am starting to get nervous. I have started having dream that he is born and what he looks like and if I have c-section or not...it is weird. Tonight we have our first child birth cla__s! I am a bit nervous, tonight is what happens to your body after you give birth! I will be 32 weeks on Thursday!!! Samara- I too got the kick count sheet. My midwife told me that I don't have to do it because I am not high risk, but it can be fun. I thought that it was 10 times every two hours, at least that is what my sheet says. I haven't really been paying close attention to whether or not he moves 10 times every 2 hours though...but he sure does move around in there! I would definitely mention your prior illness to your doctor, it couldn't hurt to be on the safe side. Les- I hope everything turns out fine! It sounds like bed rest might be helping you, even though it must be boring as heck! Just have your husband rent you a couple of good movies and get you a good book. I am sure you have already done that, but that is what I would do! Good luck!! Update on my hip/leg pain! It appears that I have a pinched nerve in my hip/leg. My midwife referred me to a chiropractor. She says if seeing him doesn't help, then the next step is physical therapy because it won't go away on its own...oh joy!

Samara - August 4

My sheet says 10 times in 1 hour if not then test the next hour, if you still don't feel the baby call office immediately. I can't wait to start birthing cla__s tomorrow. Wish hubby was more excited, he thinks he knows everything and its a waste, I told him I'd rather him stay home if he's gonna be p__sy about it.. Ug men!

Bumblebee - August 4

Les - Sorry to hear of bedrest - I know, it's a pain!! People think how nice, but it's not. Hang in there. and hopefully you have a good comfy area setup w/ good entertainment. I've been struggling with the heartburn but am not inclined to take tums or anything, and dh keeps mentionign to take it for relief. I've been doing kick counts, but not writing it or anything. So far, the kicks/turns come pretty fast a bit after dinner. Samara - :) don't worry, soon as he's in cla__s, he'll definitely see why he's there and it's benefits. The ones we took here, the instructors were great at getting the point across. So, hang in there till you start the cla__ses.

munchmom04 - August 4

IS anyone going to schedule a tour of the hospital that they are going to deliver at? I was thinking that hubby and I would go on a tour since it is a different hospital than with our son, but he seems to think that it is a waste of time. Umm I dont know I will still probably do it anyway. Is there anyone on here that is not a first time mom that had a c section with the last birth? I am asking because I wanted to see if it was normal for the scar area to be a little bit sore or tender. Hubby said that it would be because its stretching all over, but I dont know about that. I think I am going to ask my doc when I go in on Monday.

Samara - August 5

I think he'll learn a lot. He didn't know what an episiotomy was until he was reading one of my pregnancy magazines. Munchmom- A tour of the hospital is included in our birthing cla__s, if it wasn't I think I'd go to the hospital myself for one. I want to see where I'll be, size of the room etc.

wunder75 - August 9

I definitely recommend the hospital tour. The most important information is about the parking situation. Ours has a spot where you can leave the car until you get checked in, then hubby has to move it. That was very good to know! I get the hip pain, too, and my hands and feet are pretty swollen in the morning. It's not visible, but I can feel it when I try to make a fist or curl my toes. It's getting a bit harder to move around, and now I have to go to bed at like 9:30 every night, just so I don't feel like falling asleep at 3pm the next day. I'm also feeling the rolling instead of kicking. And his little b___t is always up under my ribs. He's already head-down. I also get these little twinges that I think are in my cervix. I'm definitely going to ask about that at our next appt on Thursday.

munchmom04 - August 10

Hey ladies, well i just got back from my 29 week apt. I can not believe this but the nurse told me that I have only gained a total of 6 lbs. Yes I said 6 lbs. I can not believe that. I mean I eat all the time and I eat all kinds of stuff and I have only gained 6lbs. I guess that is good bc with my son I gained 45lbs. WOW I am still in shock. This little one is growing and has a strong heartbeat so I know that she is good. I have not scheduled the tour of the hospital yet, but I think I am going to do it the last week of this month. Since my son will be starting school within the next 2 weeks. I wont have to worry about him getting into things. You know the hospital where I will deliver has valet parking. When we go and tell them we are going to labor and delivery they valet park the car, get our name and stuff and bring the keys upstairs to L&D for us. I think that is so nice. I mean who wants to hunt for a park while they are in labor? I also got a chance to set the date for my repeat c section. My doc said that they usually do them at 39 weeks and told me that it was going to be October 20th, unless I had another date in mind. I did and its my grandmothers birthday. My dads mom (who pa__sed away when I was a teen). So she will be here on October 19th. I am so excited. I can not wait. I dont have to do anything to get ready for her bc we have everything. She is in the head down position, but we still have to have a repeat c section. I have an older doc who does not want to risk anything with my health or hers. Oh well ladies I just thought that I would do an update. I go back in another 2 weeks. I cant wait.

SARAHSARAHMOM2BE - August 10

Hi there, I am now in my third Trimester.......29 Weeks Yesterday! I'm also having a repeat CSection. My doc also doesn't want to take any risks. My son is turning 2 next week, and I'm starting to realize I'm really going to have my hands full in a couple months...I'm more scared of not being able to pick up my first child for the first six weeks post csection. It's time for me to stop carrying him up/down the stairs. So, he learns to do it himself. We have everything bought and set up. Now it's just waiting and enjoying our "BABY MOON".....Our last's couple of weeks before our life goes crazy again:) Sarah Mommy to Johnny almost 2...Pregnant with a baby girl due in October.....Laura Elizabeth:)
